Yes, Shogun is also fun, be it with lesser graphics. Still a good game.
Your ports don't make money ? Well, do you have allies to trade with ? And if so, do they have ports ? do you control the waters between yours and theirs ? If you don't have any allies with ports, your own ports cant make money. One enemy ship, and the tradeline is interrupted. Keep enemy ships out.

The first thing you should do when playing Medieval is hit the internet and download the medmod. It balances the game immensely fixing many AI issues, naval combat, as well as allowing players to play as Hungarians, Golden Horde, and several other standard unplayable factions.

Be sure to check out the read me to see all the changes it has made. Now if only someone could fix the hardcoded time that the Golden Horde comes into the game. It would be much better if it was randomized. |

one thing I havent figured out yet is how do priests, alims and such gain "levels"? I figure you just have to have them in a province with a different religion for a while, but it doesnt seem to work that way...
