He looks into the enlarged Shadow Door and steps forward, doing a brief surface scan inside the hole with his mind, looking for traps, but not sensing any. Though, as strong as Larry was, he could have made them undetectable.

"Perhaps I should go first, I'm the least likely to be harmed by Traps." [i]He says as he looks tward Larry again.

She watched as the shadow door appeared, and all but bared her teeth at it..

Laying one hand on Arcades neck, she drops a FEHU rune between two of his scales then steps back, shoving the end of her staff into the ground as blue fire erupts in a circle around her and the hole in the ground...

"Be wary of shadows, my friends
as they do not act as they seem...
what may seem friendly at first,
could send you into a dream...."

As always, her druidic rhyme is heeded by the dragon, and any animals near... although Larry might not deem the warning as serious as the others, as he cannot feel the presence of the forest in the dire warning.... not to mention his extreme feelings in this quest, and she shakes her head back and forth slowly...

Looking at Vincent and Arcades, the crystal in her staff ignites, surrounding the area with a crystal clear blue light, reflecting the flames on the ground.. Virtue steps into the circle of flames, looking up at her as she shrugs her shoulders, smiles once and immediately shifts into wolf form before Larry and Vincent's eyes..

Her eyes still glowing she nods her head at Arcades and Vincent, then stands quietly in the circle of flame... the flames throwing circlets of crystal light off the bracer around the wolf's neck into the forest, and her silver fur stands on end, shifting slightly in the breeze that comes from nowhere and everywhere at once as she lifts her head to the sky and howls........

her wolves appear at the fringes of the trees, sitting silently keeping a vigil just outside the flames...

Realizing he was staring at the now wolf woman he closed his mouth and cleared his throat. " I.....uhm...have this he stammers out as he reaches into a pocket on the inside of his tunic. Pulling out some long silky strings with what looks like a small leather ball wrapped around the end of the strings. He grabs the ball and gives it a slight tug, just as he does thisa bright golden light appears where the leather ball had been. He puts what was covering the ballback inside his tunic."This was given to me by a priest friend of mine a while back for one my forays, it has a light spell cast on it, and has, lasted for many months, well more then months I reckon. That life was forever ago, but he said that this light will never go out and when darkness surrounds you use this and it will light the path. It saved me back on that day that changed my life. When you see the newly dead walk and the fallen rise again it has a way of changing one's outlook on life. So after you then Arcades, if you will, then Larry and I will take up the rear" .

Larry

Larry was never going to get used to the druid's strange tricks and rhymes, he decided. No matter. She was at least on his side of things. Being helpful in her own way. Arcades was extended the invitation to venture forth first, followed by himself and then Vincent with his magical light in the back. This seemed a very good strategy.

The three adventurers entered the shadow door, leaving behind the wolves to stand guard over the entrance. Once all three has passed through, the door dissapated and the shrub's shadow was as normal. Nothing appeared out of the ordinary.

To the Necklace Team:

Inside the cavern, first all is darkness, but as Vincent brings out his light, the way is clearly marked. Rats scramble away at the intrusion, and spiders scurry upward into their hiding places at all the sudden movement taking place below. Some of the spiders are as large as pigs.

Nothing is attacking the intrusive trio at this time.

The cavern is larger than one would have imagined it, judging from the uotward appearance. It is clear that magic was used in the cavern's creation. Only one passage is viewable. It is at the back. The way is blocked with thick webs.

With a slightly amused grin Roderik began reaching into one of his saddlebags, "You ask what I know first hand about Silverfall, I know the tale of this item very well indeed," And he withdraws the broken arrow from the cloth-wrapped bundle it's in, offering it to Marcos he adds, looking pointedly at Andrion, "It was brought by that one as a gift of sorts, though why I received it I know not, do you know the tale of the broken arrow, the head of which plucked one of Helm's finest from his height of glory as a holy paladin and directly resulted in his corruption, and evil reign? Take it if you dare, it has no power over me, and can only serve to draw the ire of the modding one, perhaps in the hands of a "pure" one it's own evil will be subsumed."

Arcades walks into the dark passage, looking about at the walls and is almost reminded of his Home Lair. Every time he moves his long neck, he feels the FEHU Rune rubbing between his scales uncomfortably, but he figures Kaylisa put it there for a reason.

He turns to larry and smiles. "Quite a cozy place you decided to put the Necklace. Perhaps when all is said and done, you would accompany me to my home. I have quite an extensive library of interesting books among my hoard."

"My dear fellow...er...dragon...that is a delicious offer! I would be thrilled to be your guest!

Now...the reason for this location is simple. It looks pretty creepy and nobody would think it nothing more than a fox hole anyway. If anyone did get through the door, they would probably still never find the true treasure hidden here. See that doorway over there with the webs all over it? That is not the way to go. It leads one through a few simple traps and at last a chamber that has some simple relics in it. Nothing of worth to anyone that is not an amature. No...the real treasure is hidden over here."

Larry walks over to the wall, feels around on it for something, and when he was satisfied, kneels down and begins to feel around on the ground under the stone he had been feeling earlier.

"See...there is a small water drainage on this rock that is almost unnoticeable. Where it is wet, you follow it down to the ground...here. The water has eroded away the floor in this spot to make a hole that leads down to another chamber under us. It is about a mile or so down. Now watch this."

Larry dusted away the dirt that lay upon the ground, revealing a square hole, boarded up with wood. He picked at the wood for a while, and then turned to the dragon.

"Could I ask you to burn away the wood here? It seems that I made it too strong and cannot break it away. Once it is burned away, we have access to the chamber below."

He looks at the wood and nods. Drawing in his breath, he shoots white flames from his mouth that greedily consume the wood and burn out as they run out of fuel, revealing the chamber under it.

"This chamber is where the necklace is?" He asks, curious and wary of potential traps in such a chamber

"Yes, the chamber below is where the necklace is. Once we are down there, we get to walk for a while, as it is a large cavern. Along the way, there are dangers. I will try to remember them as we go. When we all get down there, just don't move until I can think. Okay?

Now...as for Vincent and I, we can climb down the rope that I have hanging just inside the hole there. I suppose you can drift down, using your wings. If I remember, it is large enough to allow you all the way down. But if you beat us, just be careful. Ready?"

With that, Larry held himself above the hole, reached in and grabbed something, then let his hands free from the stone. He began to decend. Vincent followed after him, as agile as any elf would be.

OOC>>>Arcades, I have allowed you the RP availability to fly down (drift) in your dragon shape. You may proceed, and do not have to wait on the climbers to reach the bottom. It will take us a few turns. You can go faster if you desire.
