Hi Moni,
thanks for the happy birthday ![]() I agree that this post and most of the others in this forum are going great. I just hope that when I get my copy of Wiz 8 that I can spare some time to come back to the forum. My wife still cannot understand how I can be so consumed by a computer game. Sometimes I have to agree with her...but then I go to bed at night thinking about elves and lizardmen and mages and oh heck.......I gotta get back to the demo!... ![]()

![]() You're welcome! I am not going to replace Grandpa's fish right away...he never goes out there anymore and the pond needs renovating. I also want to move it to a sunnier spot where the water lillies will be sure to get enough sun to bloom (they got too much shade this year and are dying off). I don't know what to tell the man...he did not have names for them, but he had them for years...I still feel sick thinking about it lol. Don't feel bad about your game addiction...me and Rex are both playing and we never see each other except at dinnertime LOL! I actually came home from school yesterday morning at 10 a.m. and only got up to eat (the crock pot cooked for me ![]() ![]() My behind is asleep...I think I need to join it. ![]() I hope you get the game soon...have a cooler and sandwiches ready! (Don't forget about the missus though! She does a lot to keep you in your chair! ![]() Oh Yeah...about the double posts...you can click on "edit" right above your own posts and there will be a box in the upper left hand area where you can click it to delete that post...gets rid of duplicate posts...we have all made them at one time or another. ![]() |

Thanks for the help moni...this time I was able to work out your advice.
Good luck on the grandpa saga..........hummmm...that could be a good side quest for wizardy. Ok..you come across the magical pool of life and there are a school of the infamous goldern fish people....you inadvertly have broken the dam and all the fish people have been swept away from their homes....The grandpa master...who just happens to be the keeper of the goldern fish people is unaware of the situation and sends you on a quest to retrive the sacred slimy fin from the king fish......hummmm you are in a bit of a dilemma...maybe a scroll of "grandpa forgetties" would help. take care.....and be kind to yourself

Hi Folks,
Although new to participating in these forums, I've been hanging around the Ironworks for a good while. In the real world, I'm Anne aged 44 (OK, I'll admit it, 45 next month, living in Scotland. I've been into RPGs and Adventures since playing Swamp on the ZX81. The reason I don't participate much in message areas is purely physical;I'm severely disabled through having rheumatoid arthritis and save my limited dexterity for playing the games ![]() I love the Wizardry series, it comes closest to what I think an RPG should be, although I also loved the character and magic systems in the Realms of Arkania games. That's all folks,

Hi Sprocket - what part of Scotland are ye from (with a name like MacDonald, ye can expect I have a relative or two over there meself). LOL, reminds of the time I met someone on the first tee at Boat o Garten - I said where are you from, he said Edinburgh. I said I know someone back in OZ who is from Edinburgh, and then realised what a foolish thing it was to say. Turned out that this bloke in Australia that I knew, and this guy I was talking to were the best of buddies - played golf every weekend for 10 years (well as often as you can with Scottish weather as you would ken no doubt). Small world really, isn't it

That scroll would have tp be pretty powerful! Hi Sprocket! I also have a Gadgeteer in that game that I named after my ex husband and nicknamed Sprockets LOL! Nice to have you aboard and thanks for taking the time to introduce yourself! |

Hi,
Guess I should post a note here! My name is Scronan (Erick) and I just turned 27 years old (still pretty young, not sure if I'm still a whipper-snapper). I'm a new co-moderator to the forum here, although we have 4 mods now (and this one of the smallest forums too!) and a very good friend of Sazeracs and some of the other Wizards and Warriors folks. I live about an hour north of San Francisco in California, home of traffic, high costs of living and generally pretty rude people. As you can tell, I was born and raised in this area so I've had my fill in recent years. :0 I started playing video games back in the days of Pong, Atari 2600. Spent a lot of my time in arcades in the pac man hey days, and I've been hooked ever since. My first RPG was Dungeons of Daggorath for the CoCo2, the best RPG I've seen of to date (real time 3d graphics, was released in 1982!). I later got into Wizardry and many RPG's through the NES and SNES systems. Also have played some Ultima (fun) and a tried to play a few Might and Magics (don't get me started, horrid games) and the Bard's Tale (loved it!). Let's see, I'm a computer technician by trade, but have goals to get into medical school in the near future. I'm also an avid student of many artial arts systems, Taoism and Zen. So, getting to play Samurais, Ninjas and Monks in CRPG's is so much fun! I also love Chinese and Japanese culture, and would love to travel to both places some day. Glad to be aboard with Ironworks, I think Ziroc has a great thing going here! Best, Scronan

I feel that I might just be the oldest player on this board. I am 75 years of age, am retired from the U.S. Navy after 30 years of active duty. I started out playing games on a Heathkit H8, which I had to build myself. It has Basic installed on a cassette tape and had to be loaded each time by cassette player. There was only 1 game available then, a space shooter, also on cassete. I guess I have been involved one way or the other since the inception of the PC and have enjoyed every minute of it. I am pleased to be a member of this board and wish all you smooth sailing in the future.
