Just came home from seeing it and WOW it is good... but I remembered why the last movie I went to see in a theater was Return of the King.... I hate going to the movie... If you want to see the lowest forms of human beings Icelandic moviegoers are it

Anyway, the movie was almost as good as I hoped, no tacky Green Goblin suit... damn I hated that in the first movie... hope they fix it for the 3rd...
I was a bit disapointed that Doc Ock died (he did right?) as he was my favourite recurring villian in the comics... would like to see him again... plus, Alfred Molina was perfect in that role.

other than that.. i just cant seem to understand why spiderman keeps on losing his powers at random? is it because of his brain and stuff? also, i dont remember harry being able to hear voices and stuff. that is so wierd with his father popping up.

1. that illustrates the main theme of the movie -- Parker is doubting his place, his superhero position (and the grand responsibility that comes with the position) and therefore he cannot be an 100% Spider-Man all the time, losing his power from time to time. Only when he's determined and firmly believes in his *place* in the world can he be the real Spider-Man.

2. That's also for dramatic reason I reckon since he's psychologically torn between his strong sense of lost (his father and how he treated him in the past), revenge and friendship.

btw, a summer CLASSIC! Haven't seen such a great summer movie for quite a while!

I remember Harry having some "nutso" problems in the comics, and that seemed fairly accurate in the movie.

Other than to see Shrek 2, I'm with you. Here it is people bringing their 5+ young children into the theater...

I just saw the movie today, and I did like it, but the train scene I just found to be weak. Not so much his stopping the train, but his face being revealed to everyone on it. It was too cheesy for me, especially since you know that there would be at least one of them that would sketch out a picture and throw it on the internet, especially if there was money to be made. I know it is just a movie, but that broke me out of my suspension of disbelief. Otherwise, very good movie.

Oh, and there is another potential villian in the movie, but I do not think they will go that route. Jameson's son (the astronaut) becomes a werewolf-type creature in the comics, due to an object he brought back from the moon. However, he was a lesser villian, especially compared to the various goblins, Doc Ock, or even ones like Scorpion, Mysterio, Kraven, etc.

Actually, I would like to see them add the Scorpion this next one, though putting Kraven in there would be cool, too.

I can see Scorpion being an easy vilain to put in, since Jameson funded creating him to bring spidey in for justice, it's a villain that could be fit in into any movie at nearly any time.
