Yep, it's from The Mars Volta. But you need to give the song title as well, really. So until you do, the others may continue guessing!

ROFL @ King Diiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiamond.

</font>
It's actually a fragment from the intro to Inertiatic ESP, Son et Lumiere.

(I did listen to the CD to double-check my answer, though, being the sneaky cheater that I am )

Well, Son et Lumiere is a separate track on the CD.

But err... to speed things up, why don't both Grojlach and Ross post a new quote?

ok, we're allowed to do any genre of music right? Here goes:

"Way too far, for way too long Children crying, cast out and neglected"

thats quite a short snippet. If you find it hard to get it Il add more, although the next line would give it away! (hint hint )

Well, it's pretty much a build-up to the first "real" song on the CD - and Son et Lumiere is in fact included in the videoclip for Inertiatic ESP, so that's why I mentioned it. [/useless trivia]

Anyways, on to the next one. A rather easy one, if I may add.

Quote:
Reluctantly crouched at the starting line,
engines pumping and thumping in time.
the green light flashes, the flags go up.
churning and burning, they yearn for the cup.

I know - all I'm saying is it's a separate track on the CD. Track. Not song, track, as in the little numbers spring from one to two. And with a separate name. I know it continues straight into Inertiatic ESP, LOL. Now stop being a music snob.
