I thought 'Red Dragon' was pretty scary. It's definitely the most creepy film that I watched in 2002.

Goku, I can sympathise. The Oompa Loompas in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory really scared the hell out of me when I was younger

Oompa Lumpa's are funny not scary heh. Well the scariest I have watched so far is THE THING!! Dam that movie is scary I was watching it at night with my father and sister and my next door neighbor. I didn't know so much bout the movie. After I watched the movie I was being careful what I eat and wanted eat from cans man. I almost wet my pants a couple of times and my dad was laughing his head off at the scary parts.

I would have to say that The Ring scared the living crap outa me, something about that creepy little girl....ugh
Stephen Kings IT was another, maybe because I had read the book first and a lot of the unsaid things in the movie were already in mind when watching it.
There are a few others I cant think of at the moment.

Question Mark

My top five scary movies:

1.) The Exorcist -- the only time I ever hesitated to turn off the lights when going to bed.

2.) The Changeling -- 1970's movie starring George C. Scott. Creepy venue and full of suspense.

3.) Alien -- was only nine when I first saw it. Was so much scary as shocking and full of surprises.

4.) Jaws -- Are you sure there are no sharks in Kansas daddy?

5.) The Texas Chainsaw Massacre -- Stupid movie, but the disturbing visuals stuck with me.

Can't wait to see The Ring. Maybe it will actually be scary, unlike the Blair Witch Project.

Well I am well prepared to answer this after seeing "The ring" last night.
That was by far the scarriest movie I have ever seen. It was great and I recommend it to everyone. The directing and editing acting and screenplay were overall top notch in creating the eeriest atmosphere out of any movie I have ever seen, that amount numbering in teh 1000s. Before I saw this I would have answered "the shining" which is now my number 2. Other than those 2 I haven't seen a movie that scred me, besides Stallone's "driven" but that scared me for other reasons. I think "the blair witch project" was pretty freaky the first time I saw it so If I had to make a list of 3 that would round out the 3rd spot.

But as I have been telling every I know since last night:
IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN IT YET GO SEE "THE RING". IT KICKS BOOTY!!!!!

I just watched the Japanese version of the Ring (directed by Hideo Nakata) and it was NOT scary - maybe a bit at the end was suspenseful, but for most of it the plot was quite slow. Maybe the subtitles took something away from teh movie, but I found myself watching the clock more often than the movie.

Is that Dubya among the faces at the bottom?
I have to say to Mouse-I haven't seen the film, Carrie, but did read the book, and the ending was so sad I nearly cried! Lol!
What lies beneath was sort of freaky, but I would say that 'cause I get freaked by ANY horror film, lol!

hmm, my altime favorite horror movie is The Shining with Jack Nickelson and Shelly Duval. I just love that movie. I don't get scared with movies, but this movie kept me going pretty good.

Someone mentioned earlier Jeepers Creepers, I would just like to point out that it is one of the most diffapointing movies ever. It started good, but at a certain point they screwed the whole movie (people who have seen it perhaps know what I'm talking about)

I don't really know which film scared me the most. I get scared quite easily, but I get over it quickly. But I still get quite scared if I think of scary films that I saw as a child. I remember that "The Gremlins" scared me. And "It". I still don't want to see it ever again. But the thing that scared be the most was Michael Jackson's video "Thriller".
