This is what i got... Referer Link Error On every single HTML page of GameFAQs is the following request: Feel free to link to this page, but not directly to the FAQs.. You're seeing this error message because it appears that you're linking from an external site directly to one of the text files stored at GameFAQs. GameFAQs is not a free public file server. Bandwidth costs money, and when sites link directly to files stored on the site, it becomes both a financial and resource drain. We've tried asking, but some sites simply don't care, so now we've implemented a technical solution. Your browser is reporting that you linked to a GameFAQs-hosted FAQ from http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/cg...&t=000665&p=2. There are four possible reasons you are seeing this message: You came from a direct link to a FAQ on GameFAQs from another site, and your link was properly blocked. See the paragraph above for why. Your web browser is passing improper URL data in the Referrer header. Your web browser may be over-compensating for a mistake you made in the address bar, and passing this information unintentionally. To fix this, just click the "Home" link on the left and surf normally. Your web browser is passing forged URL data in the Referrer header. Some browsers can be configured to hide referrer information, but instead of passing a blank header, it passes a forged one. To fix this, change your browser's security settings. If you are using Opera and having problems, try viewing this page for some pointers. You are behind a firewall or proxy server, and it is passing forged URL data in the Referrer header. If you are using one of these services, you or your network administrator may need to change the configuration. [ 05-01-2005, 07:10 PM: Message edited by: johnny ]

You are moving through the game much faster than me Johnny. Again I'm a slow mover and scourer. I'm at the point where there is a bridge to the west of Silver Creek, and when you get there, there is a guard on the other side of the bridge who says to report to Captain Whatever, and he doesn't like to be waiting. I reloaded though, just wanted to see what the guard said. I still see an area to the north, if you go up right at the bridge entrance along the river, unexplored. Just wondering if I should go and do that area before moving west. Not sure if I will get the chance to go there again in other words. I ventured up there somewhat, and like you am getting more difficult monsters now, like the Temptresses and the mages that freeze you with blue lightning or something. One conjured up some red firey looking guy with a burning blue sword, and when I killed him his sword burned for a long time before it finally poofed out LOL. Cool stuff.

I found a new henchman which is really helpful with those mages and thugs who seem to be all over the woods. It's a female archer who does quite a lot of damage with some sort of flaming arrows. Thank goodness for that, i wasn't getting anywhere on my own, all i could do was hide and sneak and hope noone would see me. My horse got killed as well, so i'm walking again, and i still haven't found that soldier who i'm supposed to report to, i stumble from one situation into the next and don't really find the time to get the mainquest on the way. LOL
Btw..did you ever ran into that giant Tarantula ? It just sits there while i attack it, and doesn't do anything but spawn little tarantulas, who are easily dispatched. Maybe a bug ? And yeah, i usually move really fast through a game once i started with it. Sometimes i don't even go to bed, just keep on playing. I remember i stayed up somewhat 48 hours once because i couldn't stop playing Commando's 2, so i played the game from start to finish in one big session. After that i completely collapsed and slept for like a whole day.

Have you patched the game up Johnny? I'm all patched up with not only the latest patch, but also the free mini-expansion, Sacred Plus. Just go to the main Sacred website to get the downloads if you haven't. Or I reckon you could always hit the Start button, Programs, Ascaron, Sacred, Update.
Awww, poor horsie! See that's another reason why I don't want a horse LOL. Oh and it seems once you've killed so many of certain enemies, their circles underneath them turn grey. So, not unless you run into them, they mostly just stand there instead of attack you, and you get very little points if you kill them. Although sometimes they drop loot, so I do the re-kill now and then while moving along LOL. Never saw the tarantula yet. I may run into it later on I reckon, or not, I think that some subquests are different depending on what character you are playing. Again, check your map to find the icon to take that soldier to where she needs to go. The map pretty much gives you an idea where your quests are. Oh and also that pointer/compass thing at the bottom center of your screen always points towards your main quests I think. I'm done playing tonight, but I think I'm gonna tackle that north area, go along the water at the bottom of that bridge to get there. Hopefully I won't be doing an area before it is "quested." Oh, and love all the wildlife LOL, Hello Moose |

Well, i kinda went back where i first came from, and went in another direction from there, which was finally the good direction. Kinda explains why i was having such a hard time making it through the woods alive, i simply was in an area i wasn't supposed to be yet. I should have known, since my character kept repeating stuff like "could it be i should make a big detour around this area". I remember i was talking to my screen like "well, that's not for you to decide now is it" I guess i should have listened to him LOL.
Anyway, this time i'm in an area where i can continue the mainquest, and things are going much better now. Now i'm facing Orcs instead of all these weird mages. Still hard enough, but definitely not as hard as where i was before.

Afternoon, all. Is Sacred any good? I see you can get henchies.

Yeah, right now i have three henchmen. That's not what's planned, two of em i'm supposed to escort elsewhere, but one of them is a pretty good fighter, so forget about that escort, she's staying with me LOL. The other one has a dagger, but runs away at the sight of trouble, so no matter what happens, he'll live to become a hundred years old LOL. The other one is Wilbur, and is the soldier i needed to rescue from the Orcs, was part of the mainquest. He uses both a sword and a bow, and is damn good at it too. He's the only one who should be traveling with me, but like i said, i'm keeping the others too.
Leveling up is getting harder and harder, i'm still only at level 14, killing Orcs, Goblins, or even Trolls doesn't pay much XP, but since the place i was running around in is called the Orc Desert, there's not much chance of finding anything else, except for the occasional cave with undead, giant scorpions, and poisonous snakes inside. I just wish there was some kind of Bag of Holding or something, i had to leave so much stuff behind in the desert that wouldn't fit into my inventory, it's a real shame. I also have stuff i want to use myself, but can't yet because you need to be at a certain level first, so i keep hanging on to it until the time is right. I'm in such a good mood, and have been for a full day! *is shocked*
Keep in mind I am 15, so this is what teenagers do if some of you old fogies have forgotten The girl I like asked me out last night and we are going out I was smiling so much last night, I must have looked like a grinning idiot! I got the whole "Are you two going out" off everyone at school today, but then they added "You two make a great couple." Really put me in a good mood. Anything else REALLY good happen to anyone else lately? I'm so happy
