Memsy,Memsy, Memsy! Don't stress out over a car! LOL close your eyes and pick a color *giggles profusely as she tries to imagine the geniebabe going crackers over the mere thought of chosing at random*
Seriously, take what you will be happy with even if it means waiting. If waiting is NOT an option, take what you can be happy with from the things you have at hand! *whispers 'brothel on wheels'*

LOLOL! I just KNEW you'd get that response from Bokken. Is that car still running, Bokken???
Genie, dear, pick the one you like the best. IMO, the Black/Tan is the classiest (is that a word? ), but if you want a red interior and you don't think you'll get 'bored' with it in three years, then go for what makes you happy. You ARE only young once and if the 'brothel mobile' is what you want, what's three years - right? After that, if you are bored with it, trade it in for the next car that strikes your fancy. *hugs*

Now for the exterior colour. Black is hot and red is faster! *LOL* Black is good but remember that it always requires a lot of attention. Like someone else here pointed out, everything shows up in black. Dints, scratches and the usual bird poop really stand out! Red is a nice colour and very sporty. Not that it matters on a car like that as under my opinion it is both classy and sporty. So it's just a case of whether you wish to have a colour that will need a lot more looking after or one you need not worry about too much. Interior wise it's pretty hard once again. Sure I love red interiors but this is your car and what you probably need is advice as to why you should get one colour as opposed to the other rather than be told what everyone likes. Well, it's not very helpful but here goes. Once again on both interiors you have both class and a sporty look. Tan is very nice and looks great in the red car. I think red outside with red inside would be pushing it a bit. (Ever seen a Countach? It's nice but too damn red!) Keep in mind however that most new luxury cars come out in tan. This would mean that although you will have a kick ass car and interior etc....it will be like most other luxury cars on the road. (BMW's, Jag's, Merc's, Audi's etc etc all have tan interiors or can come with them). This is where the red makes it something different amongst most other luxury cars. Sure a few companys are starting to make red interiors (BMW being one) but how many do you actually see on the road? Go for a short walk and look at all the parked cars. I can bet that you will see more than enough tan interiors and most likely not one red. Red interiors are a rare thing on the road and that makes owning one kinda unique! So, have a good think about it and hopefully make the right choice which would be best suited to your taste. At the end of the day we can all state our opinions but you are the one that must make and be happy with the conclusion. btw good luck sleeping til you get it! I know I would be counting the seconds...hehe Oh and be sure to let us know what you got! i.e. Hey I ended up getting the olive green one with the brown interior! Kinda a last minute decision there. |

Update, please, Memsy...
Did you decide?? If so, what did you decide on? Just curious to know the outcome of your self-debate.

Very nice cars Memsie, but I have to say I think the red interior looks... erm how can I put this... cheap and tacky. A bit plasticy infact.
Your choice of vehicle should be a statement of taste and style with some longevity - and therefore you should go for black with a tan interior. A very smooth & classy combination that you won't regret 2 years from now. *Wonders if she can get away with mentioning her Lambretta again....*

Apparently black Alfas look awesome until the 10th time you wash them, then it gets to be a pain in the @ss. And I just thought red was so cliche as an exterior...so I thought I'd go the middle ground and get a Meteor Grey one like this: As for the red or tan seats...I haven't decided yet. Instead of blood red, I'm thinking of going a dark, rich, deep red - almost like a burgundy. More tasteful, probably or I can go the safe, tan option - I just HATE being like everybody else. |

I'd say black seats (if possible) - but I'm kind of conservative when it comes to colours. [ 10-31-2002, 06:49 AM: Message edited by: Ar-Cunin ]
