Um, not to be nosy, but you *aren't* thinking of declawing them, are you?
That's pretty big - my Mikka is a Ragdoll cross and they grow pretty big too. She's a healthy 16 pounds and 3 1/2 years old. Very cuddly - she goes totally limp when you pick her up. I walk her on a leash everytime I get home in the afternoon.

Let's see if I can make this work. Here's Tigger, this morning. Note well the DVD he's lying on; I brush him and am saving the fur in order to spin it into yarn. Cute Ragdoll, BTW!

She's sitting behind a door because she likes playing the "behind the door" game.

HAHA... is that the one where she sits til she spots someone go by and then pounces or races past? Or the one where she just sits and makes you wonder "what IS that cat up to?"

Well, so far, so good. Merlin's not keen on the little guys taking over HIS room (hubby's and mine but the cat has this idea it's his...) so he has peed on their stuff a few times. JUST on their little beds and mine.. but since I started letting the kittens out to the rest of the house for short jaunts (minus a few rooms we close off for now) and Merlin can get into his room without them there, he is much better and NO marking of any kind has occured... a definite improvement!

Now he just watches them from a spot in the living room and occasionally even chases one around a little... LOL, he's even played with me while they are around AND plays with a crinkle tunnel we bought for the kittens... may need another one for him! He's swatted at them if they come running into his face a few times but other than that he's just moved out of their way. Pretty calm for an old fart cat...

Mems- update on the into of kittens to the older cat.

Merlin had a few 'pee on the kitten's bedding' moments until we figured out that he ONLY did it when locked in the room with them early on. Letting him out did the trick and letting them meet up with him on more 'neutral' ground (he feels that our bedroom is his space) worked wonders!

Merlin actually started playing when we played with the kittens and he even plays a little bit more by himself these days. He tolerates them running around, when he's awake and finds quiet, out of the way places to snooze if he's tired and the kittens are still ramped up. He even lets Ursula get close or sleep near him without a growl or a hiss at all.

That would be the same Ursula who now climbs drapes like a champ...sigh....
