I remember one of my old PnP campaigns. My group consisting of one Girl called Alastair versus Drizzt:
Alastair: Called Shot Head: (20 CRITICAL)
10D6+45
81
Drizztoisoned
Alastair: Repeat
Drizzteath

She then did that to the whole city of Menzobarzen (sp), while a mage cast his special modified version of meteor swarm on it.

Erm, thats close to impossible unless you're epic atleast 5 times. I mean several serial called critical headshots? And he we are calling Drizzt an Ubermunchkin.

I have to admit that I can't stand Drizzt.

I'm involved with fanfiction, as you probably all know; if not, mock me now. But there's a term in fanfiction which applies to Drizzt: Mary Sue.

Mary Sue was originally coined in Star Trek, I believe, where it was used to describe Wesley Crusher; a character (or so I've heard) so perfect he was annoying, yet utterly character-less.

An essay on what constitues a Mary Sue.

Nowadays, in fanfiction terms, a Mary Sue is a perfect character. She crops up in fandoms with pretty boys, where she is beautiful, intelligent, wonderfully good-humoured, and ends up with whichever character her author thinks is most sexy. Most Mary Sues are self-inserts, where the author imagines herself in, say, Middle Earth as Crystal, elf Princess of Sugarstarland and beloved of Legolas.

EDIT: Fxed a type.

Yeah, Alastair was an UBER munchin, her critical roll was 15-20, and counted with weighted dice (never verified but I knew it was there...)well, special things happened when the party decided to invade the pantheon.. Anyway back to drizzit. Kaltia just basically named the reason most people hate drizzt. To quote someone : Drizzt Came, Drizzt Angsted, Drizzt Conquered.
