I even really composed a few things, but they weren't very good .

You ought to record yourself since you can't remember it...that way you can preserve it and get it down on paper by writing out the music as you listen to it.
Why do you think the pieces you have composed weren't very good?

Epona makes her way to work, feeling grumpy. The weekend beckons, but has not yet arrived, next week she is in Italia on vacation but it seems so far away. The crowded tube-train pulls into the station, and Epona fights her way on, then manages to win the race for the vacant seat. Leaning back, she closes her eyes. As the train pulls away, she hears the distant strains of a familiar song, coming from nowhere yet everywhere. She joins in, humming at first, then picks up the words.....

(Dum-dum dum-dum dum-dum dum-dum dum-dum dum-dum dum-dum dum-dum)

The tax-man's taken all my dough
And left me in my stately home
Lazing on a sunny afternoon
Now I can't sail my yacht
He's taken everything I've got
All I've got's this sunny afternoon.

Save me save me save me from this squeeze
Got a big fat momma, trying to break me
And I love to live so pleasantly
Live this life of luxury
Lazing on a sunny afternoon.

In the summertime… In the summertime….

My girlfriend’s run off with my car
Gone back to her ma and pa
Telling tales of drunkenness and cruelty
And I’m just sitting here
Sipping at my ice-cold beer
Lazing on a sunny afternoon.

Let me let me let me sail away.
Give me 2 good reasons
Why I oughtta stay
And I love to live so pleasantly
Live this life of luxury
Lazing on a sunny afternoon.

In the summertime… In the summertime….

The train shudders to a halt, and Epona fights the way to the door, a relaxed smile on her face. After all, the weekend is nearly here….*

Recording is a good idea, I hadn't thought of that! The problem is that I have a bit of problem with the harmony. I wrote a few pieces with a good melody, but the harmony was just a couple of chords. I suppose I should practice...

When you have the talent to play as well as the talent to compose, yes you should. You are a lucky girl!

Epona, thanks for the song! You brought a smile to my face! You're awesome.
