LOL .

Now, does this make you "evil" by your own standards? (sorry about the cross over from the "Good and Evil" thread in the User Created Forum)

Of course! Good actions are a fine line that one can slip off at any time. I never suggested I was perfect, nor an angel. None of us are. Failure is a part of learning, and we humans are imperfect in design. Without my slip up, I wouldn't have had the chance to tell Gabriel the positive esteem I hold him in. So to that end, a mistake can contain some positivity. (Assuming he reads it and feels good about it)

Speaking on Aussie humor, I was a room-mate with an Aussie/Argentine for seven months.
He was also a Kung-fu instructor.
I have been well educated in the life-style. I got along with him easier than anyone else because I fully understood and appreciated his humor/culture.
He (Mauricio Besso) is one was of good friends, and I hope to visit Aussie land someday and visit him.
I would also like to get to see you other blokes as well!

introduce me to a few shelas...(sp)

Ah yes the Sheilas! Any Sydney beach or beach suburb Larry. Bondi in particular is a magnet for femmes of much allure.

You should head out there man! You'd enjoy it for sure. Great value for your dollar, laid back lifestyle, friendly atmosphere, beaches full of eyecandy good food, wine and music and stunning vistas.

Thus it is not an extended criticism of you. You are a legend, as I have said repeatedly. I have much respect for you that you haven't let dyslexia prevent you from the many meaningful and valued contributions you have made to this "virtual villiage".

My humor was at the expense of another. Forgive me. Certain elements of my Australian upbringing are hard to supress when such red rags are waved before me. I laughed at my own post. (Yes I crack myself up...) At least I entertained myself. I am sorry if I offended you in the process Gabriel.

Yorrick, sorry for not getting around to you for sooner but I'm sick at a dog at the moment. Okay I was not criticising the posts just the fact you (and by this I mean all who flamed) flamed the poor guy in his first post, while I believe 'friendy fire' can be fun it not something I expect to see the members of IronWorks doing to a new member, as said new member might not of seen it as being a joke. Also I didn't take the spelling 'cracks' personal as I know I have problems but as was stated in the many 'hello newbies' thread that have been spawned, 'we are a friendly place, that won't bite.' As phyical contact is impossible on the internet, I pressume that this means 'we won't flame you' yet as the begining of this thread the member was flammed for his spelling, which was refered to as Idiotese, thus not only implying that his spelling was bad but that the postie was an idiot, which is a blantent flame. While I am happy to see that you have made an appolige, I am shocked to see that that the other flamers have made no such move.

Ps Stop calling me a legend as I have done nothing to entitle such a title.

No worries. I hope you feel better mate. As I said it wasn't a matter of spelling, but of the blatant disregard for sentances and language flow, drug usage inference and declaration of popularity. The post is hard to understand. I read it more like he didn't care rather than him being stupid, which is why I wasn't to worried about calling the post idiotese. It's like saying "stop being an idiot". These imply that the person has a choice in the matter.

What I find even funnier though, is that he came in, made a poll that no-one responded to, replied with sarcasm and a drug reference and then left. Subsequently we have two pages of response, a debate of sorts and the "poll" moving over here. I think it's hilarious!

Anyhow Gabe, re. the "legend", it's a way of saying "top bloke" in Australian. Actually I think it's surfer subculture-speak, and not confined to Aussie surfers either. Regardless it's a compliment. If you have problems with someone thinking you're "alright", a good guy, and someone worth knowing; I'd suggest you get over it.

When I speak of Surfers and Surfer subculture Gabriel, I mean people who ride the oceans waves, not people who peruse various websites on a computer.
