As I understand, Bettis officially retired after the Superbowl. The Bus' last stop was in Detroit...

Ahh, the Superbowl...a bunch of big sweaty men in tight pants grunting and fussing over a piece of leather.... And a reason for my hubby to barricade himself in the guest room with the tv on all evening! LOL

Well, at least we had some good snacking food and I got to do some shopping and hang out with a friend doing 'girl stuff'

Another bad ref decision.

The final score was 21-10, but only because of bad calls. Pittsburgh should have had 7 points less, and Seattle 7 points more, which would have given us a 17-14 Seahawks victory.
I do agree with you all about the Seattle TD call...but not on the Pittsburg TD call. The rules say the ball must break the plane of the front of the line that marks the goal. It did that. It sure didn't break the plane by much...the ball certainly never made it to the back side of the line...but it did break the front plane.

Sadly, though, until there are super-computer-refs that track the ball's location via GPS accurate down to the millimeter, this kind of stuff will happen.

I thought luck was a major factor in the game. I think the outcome could have been different and the game would have been much closer and exciting. In terms of good luck Seattle had none, I expected members of the team to be hit with lightning bolts from the lords arse at any moment that is how unlucky they seemed especially when phantons were on the field.

Momentum plays apart in these games and one bad call can basically end it for a team in terms of there spirits.

The ref's for the Playoffs through the Superbowl are the higher rated ones. The Seattle call may be a touchy point, but it did transpire, and right in front of the ref. The Seahawks made 3 points from it. Add 4 to their score for the sake of nothing better to do, that's giving the kicker the PAT.
On the Pitt call. The line judge was in full view of the play, and can be seen making his analysis prior to making the call. That means "he" who was on the field saw something to indicate a TD. So, for arguments sake, take it back, and give Pitt a FG, Pitt -4. Then the final score would then be Sea 14 Pitt 17.

Now, one must also consider the Seahawks kicker missed Two Field goal attempts. That's 6 unaccounted for points.
But damn, that 75 yard run was something to see.

Thou the Colts didn't make it, at least we didn't have to endure another NE Pats appearance!

That's Pig Skin my dear! You mean you did not watch, The commercials? Shame on you!
My understanding is the Dove commercial made a very bold statement with teenage girls. The Bud Clydesdale colt produced a tear in 35% of all female viewers. And Fabio squeezed a laugh from all viewers polled. And you went Shopping? well, we know your priorities.
Won't mention the other great commercials, like the Bud 'Streaker", or the Ameri-Quest, whoo-hoo!

Hehe.. yup, shopping for part of it, then I was back home with a friend and we had snacks, soaked our feet in some peppermint bathsalts my mother in law sent me and applied some peel masque to our faces while watching some sitcoms on tv!

On the big stadium screen I noticed several ads from Canadian companies that don't have a big US market, one Telus is only Western. So I am wondering why they paid for commercials on the big stadium screen, it is only a small chance that people watching TV are going to see those and I am sure there are not that many fans going to travel from Western Canada to see the Superbowl live. Westjet I can understand more because they do have US stops and travel all of Canada but Telus surprises me unless they are thinking of expanding. I hate Telus that is money better distributed to there employees.
