Highfive! Go white weenies! Of course, all of my weenies could also prevent damage

I still remember telling my buddy who thought he had me beat after summoning his Shivan Dragon that "Dragons make great farmers" and casting that Swords to Plowshares.

I understand that the company needs to release new sets to continue to turn a profit, but the game just became too expensive for my tastes.

It's too bad there's no cheap way to play online. That'd be fun.

Apprentice. Google it. The graphics really suck, but you can play with your friends... It's a computer to computer thing (one friend hosts, other friend connects using an IP address). I used to have it but I lost the link.

Neat! I'll check it out later.

Is it free?

Yes. That's the good thing about it You can play like booster drafts and such without paying for any cards.

does it allow you to restrict cards from play? ie only use cards released up to '97 or so?

Well you decide yourself which packs to use. It's been a long time since I played so I'm not sure if you can actually stop whole blocks from it. But you play together so you can arrange something with the other player that you don't use new cards or so.
