I don't think doing it in person is necessarily the best option in all situations... I can think of some where I'd prefer the phonecall (for example to spare you the nervousness for the date). But I do think you went about it very nicely and gentlemanly. [img]smile.gif[/img]

Yah, you did good. Although for me I try to set up dates one at a time so if it works out I can avoid the little complication that you endured. However you handled it very well.

I guess I'm cold-hearted, then. I would have explained things over the phone. Like Melusine said, spare her the jitters of meeting a virtual "blind date". Not only that, but she could be wondering if your excuse was factual. She could think that you had a nice fabrication ready just in case you didn't like her looks. You just never know how someone is going to interpret something, even when it is the truth...

*just as an aside, I would normally recommend face to face if it's someone you already "know". But you two really didn't "know" each other, other than online.*

Sorry about using C and C2 [img]smile.gif[/img] I was being a bit goofy. There was a real reason I didn't use their names though, Colleen I can say and spell, I have a real hard time with cecilia's name for some reason [img]smile.gif[/img] So since it is hard for me to pronounce Cecilia I just said C2 [img]smile.gif[/img]

DoH! hadn't thought of that possibility. Fortunately for me, that was not an issue. I don't think I have ever dated two women at once (as in had an actual relationship with both) in my whole life. (There are some hazy days from my Heavy Drinking Navy days [img]smile.gif[/img] )
