I think for some reason someone's trying to get a rise out of me and I just simply refuse. I believe what I believe. I don't believe it just because I was raised that way, but because my intellect and inquisitive nature have led me to my conclusions. I spent too much of my life believing anything anyone told me because I wouldn't believe that they had any reason to lie. I found out the hard way. Same thing for anyone reporting anything (and they DO have reason). I try to keep an open mind anytime anyone presents me with information of a controversial nature.
You know I dont actually disagree with you. The point i was trying to make earlier in this thread was that you should look at ALL news as suspect not just from the "enemy" because all governments mislead for the "good" of the country. So Im not puttin America down, Im just saying dont believe all you here from your side either

they are unfortunate, caught in the cross fire. we are being responsible because we sent help, aids to their casualties. we didn't just kill them, that would make it a war on their people. nope, we are not warring them. we are punishing the Taliban and its fellow sidekicks. we make the line clear.

If we don't take actions, Bin Laden will have a message that "We can kill you, and we can WALK AWAY"
nope. that is what we want:"You can kill me, but all your sadistic terroists will ALL die." we teach how people treat us, we have tolerated long enough.

suppose those who make decisions at the higher level have the same sympathy you expressed? they are human TOO, you know? that only makes our chocie more valuable, and worthy, because we are willing to fight a battle so that more people can live, not less people will die.

true, military retaliation only serves as a temporary solution. There are issues to be solved at a broader level. however, we cannot reach our goal if the dog is lose and willing to bite. time to silence this dog, and it is NOW.

And as I stated a little earlier (might've gotten lost in the confusion) - I don't believe everything reported here, either. I have a couple of friends who are reporters who've complained to me that on the job they have been flat out told NOT to report some or all of the truth. Everyone has an agenda and everyone wants their own agenda to be presented in the best possible light.
