That's right, Kerry didn't fly over there until years after the war -- to (1) rubber stamp the Veitnamese Government's assertion that there were no more MIA/POWs and (2) sign a trade agreement. Kerry should be wary of pulling the war card out as well -- and I think he has been.

Regarding the "Starship Troopers" comment, maybe we could hack the ad to end with, "Would You Like to Know More?"

To early for predictions, you know. I'm everyone hopes that their man will win. I know your not a BIG fan of Bush, so is your prediction based on your view of fate?

I think when it comes down to it, most Americans will consider safety and look at Kerry, consider safety and be reminded that Kerry is a Democrat, consider safety and consider the Democratic party's reputation regarding safety over the past few decades. Then they'll spend 25 minutes figuring out the flow chart on their butterfly ballots, and will cast their vote for Bush. Just my prognostication.

For me, Kerry's going to have to step it up to show me why I should vote for him. I would have automatically been on board with Dean or Edwards or possibly Clark, but Kerry is a blue blood old school long-time democrat from Taxachussetts whose big-gun supporters include the AFL-CIO, NOT my favorite group.

On the other hand, there are some good things about him that I know -- but mostly I have questions. I know that the majority of his supporters are big-name law firms, and while most of you consider that a minus, I do not. Hey, gotta be selfish when it comes to my career.

Anyway, if I had to pick today, the LOM ("Leetle Oil Monkee") would get the nod. Kerry has a few months to change my mind.

One thing Bush does have going for him is lack of personal scandal. We've already had one hint of a scandal aimed at Kerry, and who knows what will be dug up about him by November. Bush's problems, on the other hand, are already well-known, and unlike Clinton, he's not likely to trip and fall in an intern between now and then.

And which "hint of scandal" was that, pray tell, my dear Timber?

Matt Drudge reported Kerry had an affair with some woman that has since left the country. Nothing like a good sex scandal to make us forget Bush's failings.
