Maybe in Japan, but it is still yet to be released in PAL territories.

The release date for SC2 in Australia is September 2003.

Sythe, is the PS2 version good? I've heard that it suffers from the occassional slowdown and takes longer to load between bouts. Also I've heard the character potraits take longer to load in the Character Select screen.
Occassional slow down? Nope haven't seen it happen once. It takes quite a while for the character potraits to load usually around 3-7 seconds. May not seem a lot but hey I never said I was a patient person. Between bouts no not long just wait around 2-4 seconds. I haven't played the other versions of the game much so I can't really compare the loading times to the other systems sorry. PS2 version is great as the other versions. Only diffrence is the characters. And besides I recall something YOU said

You'll learn to love Heihachi (HI HACH HE) he may seem to suck at first. But you will soon lean he has the best combos! They are absoloutley devastating.

So no worries. You'll love the game and won't stop playing it till your eyes go sore!

Sincerely

Sythe

P.S. Playstation Two version has the best controller.

P.S.2. Why? Simpily compared to the others it's midsized. Xbox very big and gamecube very very small.

P.S.3. I can't wait until PS3 comes out!!!!

P.S.4. In the game who says this "DIE WORMS!!!"

Thanks Sythe!

One more question:

Do the character taunt eachother in Japanese? Or have all the voices been Americanised?

The Xbox now comes with the standard S Controller, which is MUCH smaller. But, what does it matter -- spring for a $29.99 joystick -- well worth it.

Both there is an option in the game that you can switch between English and Japanese.

I got it two days ago for PS2 I have to say I like it a lot. Weapon master mode is pretty cool, but very frustrating at times. There were a lot of thrown controllers in that mode. Great game. when you unlock the illustration stuff, take a look at it, some of it is amazing. My 4 favorite characters to play with have to be sophia, cervantes, necrid, and astaroth. Nightmare is sweet, but I haven't figured out how to use him effectively yet.

Been playing it a lot today, but have found that there is only one save file for Weapon Master mode! (Or, have I missed it somewhere? Can you have more than one save file for SC2?)
