Wait a minute, won't you be attacked by just about anyone if you kill Vivec ? I did it once, just for fun, and i got a message that i'd better go a savegame back.

you can kill vivec, nothing will happen. though in theory you can't finish the main quest.

also, about killing vivec, you can actually complete the main quest if you kill him, its just...easier. thats right. not nearly as long, complicated or drawn out. not as boring too. much shorter. anyway...all you gotta do is complete the game, then you can kill him. in fact

How about the big boss of bloodmoon? did anybody get his soul? I forgot.

So did I. But he didn't seem that strong. Anyway, those souls are useless, no item can take so much enchantment. Just collector items, really
