Jaime
Jaime explained to his friend Snake that he had heard the name Bozguur, or something like that, muttered between the two assasins that he was in search of. His travelling companions were looking for answers and possibly revenge. When asked by Snake why Jaime cared to get mixed up in it all, he could not help but to feel embarrassed as he relayed his capture and enforcement into this situation. When Snake asked why did he continue trying to help, because now he was free, back home, and nobody would find him...Jaime could not really answer. He had not honor to protect, but...for some hellish reason..it mattered to him to be trusted by this group of revengers...and a lady with pink armor... "Oh! By the way, have you ever heard of the Tavern called the Sea Witch? That is where those attackers were going to meet up." "Yes, of course I have. Nasty place, that one. Just North of here, on the outskirts of town. I do not like hanging out in there much. It is a terrible tavern indeed, run by criminals for criminals...and I ain't talking thieves, neither! The ruffians that hang out there are all murderers to be sure!" "Oh...great...That helps boost my confidence in this little mission. What am I to do?" "Do not worry, little brother! You know that Azure and I will watch over you the entire time you and your merry band are visitors in this city! And when you are ready to go North...we might be able to lend a hand or two. You know...Azure's getting pretty keen with that short bow of her's! Eyes like an eagle, for sure! And I might have a few tricks that you do not yet know about. Nothing happens in this city without our "eyes" knowing it. You're safe. Remember the call for help, in case you need it?" "Yeah...though I never thought it was any good. You still use the ame one?" "Well! No need to be insulting, little brother! I am just trying to help! Go on...give the signal a go!" "Alright, you big bully...Anyone want some chocolate?" "Bravo! You are just the same...haven't forgotten anything! Well, I better let you get back to your business...The Hells' know I got my own to look after. Be seeing you soon!" With that, Snake and jaime left the cellar by different paths, one up the stairs and the other through the trap door...and never made eye contact again that night. Raymond
It would soon be morning. The sky was already appearing more greyish and light. Raymond decided to try and make up some breakfast for his friend upon her awakening. Hurrying, lest she wake too soon, he gathered some water by the meadow's spring and began boiling water. After the water was ready, he added the spicy tasting leaves that had been discovered the day before to make an herbal tea, and after catching a small bird, he had it cooking in the fire to use in the travelor's mutton his friend had brought with her. Within an hour, the breakfast was ready, and the morning light was beginning to burn through the hazy sky. All the while, he kept looking towards the spot that he thought he had seen something moving a few hours ago. Ye, no visible signs of anything were there now. Isaura! Its time to eat! Are you well enough awake? [ 01-09-2002: Message edited by: Larry_OHF ] |

OOC>>LOL@ Larry. Boy, do I know the feeling.
GALADRIA (looks in astonishment at Eliza)"Well, little bard, I see that we meet again. And a bit worse for wear." (helps her up)"Let us see what my hyena of a sister did to you. Hm, I see blood on your tunic." (examines it) "Well, a little cut but not much. Believe me, she has done far worse to me." ELIZA(Shivers as she brushes the dust off of her fine new clothes}"That female wolverine is your sister? I feel sorry for you, then. She hurt me and she said...horrible things. I thought that I was going to die, or be sold into slavery." (bursts into tears) GALADRIA (smiles grimly) "She threatened you with that, did she? Yes, that is one of her favorite threats. She loves to think up horrible things and then try to make you believe that they are true. Certes, she has killed, but not, I think and hope, a harmless babe such as you. Or sold anyone, though I know she likes to think of it. But, now that you are here, I must tell you that, though I can and will protect you until you get back to whatever nest of scorpions that you prefer, if you attempt anything against my little companion, there." (indicates Sorsha, not wanting to name her) "That I will prevent you, even at the cost of your life. Mistake me not! I am not your friend, nor likely to become so. But, if you prove less of a brat than I think, then I will reconsider." |

I was sent by Dalben to protect you in order to pay my life debt. I shall not leave untill your quest has ended." He said, "You have my sword,"... P.S. This is a test, this is only a test.GO SEE 'LORD OF THE RINGS' NOW!!!This has been an emergency test. This was only a test. OOC>>Delita, I have seen it. It's excellent. IC>>
GALADRIA(to Delita)Greetings, good Sir. I am Galadria, also a paladin, of the Order of the Radiant Heart. Well met. Rrang and I are escorting this little group. This is , indeed Sorsha, and my Paladin senses tell me that you mean nothing but good to her. This Royal pain in the jupon is called Eliza. If you will take my advice, do not tolerate any incivilities of her. She is hideously spoiled. ELIZA (breaks into tears, again)"I am not." (stomps her little Tethyrian riding boot, sticks out her lower lip)(to Delita)"Please, good Sir, I am indeed of royal blood, but this overgrown harpy insists on not treating me as my rank and station entitle me to. I command you, take me at once to my father's castle in" (smothered in a squeal when Galadria whacks her bottom) GALADRIA (still to Delita)"As I say, tolerate no insolence." ELIZA(Cries again. It hurts to be spanked with an armored glove by somebody of Galadria's size and degree of annoyance) [ 01-10-2002: Message edited by: Galadria ] |

Jaime
Upon exiting the tavern, Jaime heads out toward the local stores to get a bite to eat. After passing through and buying a few fruits and some bread to munch on, he turns his attentions back to his companions' direction, who are probably still a little ways out from entering the city. He wondered if he should go back to the road to meet them or let them come to him. He had just got here, so decided to wait a little longer. He had obviously finished his dealings faster than anticipated. It was luck to have run into Snake so quick. Walking through the streets of his childhood, he began thinking back to memories long lost in his mind. He was thus in this state when somebody probed his back with what felt like a dagger. Stiffening up, wondering if he had enough time to drop and sweep the legs out from under this attacker, his assailant spoke. "Guess who!" Instantly relaxing, Jaime turned around to see Azure, smiling at him. Her eyes were a sparkling deep blue, and her robes were as expected, matching those brilliant orbs. She had let her hair grow out a little more, and kept it tied back out of her face. A smirk was found on her lips as she gazed at her old friend. "My, but you are ravishing, my dear! A true princess! I cannot believe how well the years have been to you! How are you?" "Well enough...I should say I fare better than you! Snake tells me that you are looking for some fools that have ties in with Bazguur. What are you, crazy?!" "Well, you see, I am sorta caught in between a revenge plot, and well,,,I have come along to help in identifying the murderers of a couple's friends. I have nothing more in it than that." "I should surely hope not! Anybody wanting to deal Bazguur a blow had better think twice! I know a few rumors about him. Some of my contacts say he is not mortal. Nobody has ever seen him, that I know of, but get some of his servants drunk, and they let a little slip here and there. Not many of them know much more though. Please, tell me that you will not go trying to snoop into this..." "I ...do not know what has come over me, as of late. I know that my heart is that of a thief...but ...well, I sorta feel important right now. Like, well, like the old times, when the three of us used to work together, before..." "Stop! You don't have to go any further. I remember, oh too well. We do not have to relive those memories. It hurts too much, still. Listen, if you wanna go and get yourself killed with these...people you are travelling with, fine...we will support you as much as we can. Rest here in the city when your party arrives, and we will watch over you, and try to find some more information for you. Do you remember the secret signal for us to come to your aid?" "Yes, yes...Snake has already made me reherse it. I have always wondered why you couldn't just do a cat-call or a bird whistle, or something that real robbers do. Got any chocolate..., that's the silliest..." "Alright! No need to whine about it! Just go. Back to your newfound friends and tell them that they have some allies on the guard. They had better be on the level, though. No wierdos, if you know what I mean...you had some strange companions back in..." "OK!!! You can rest it now! Yo've gotten me back! I will go, in haste to my companions' side. Take care, Azure." With that said, the thieves depart and go their separate ways. Jaime decided to return to the road and rendevous with his "companions". |

Trusted Servant: "I am here, My Lord..." Bozguur: "What news have you..." Trusted Servant: "Sir! The two assasins you sent out have somehow slipped information...and Sorsha's group comes to find them. They plan on exacting revenge on those two, and may discover your ties in on this! This is my report." Bozguur: "So, I have idiots working for me that tend to let information slip, do I...(laughs softly). This is what you are to do. Make sure that that Sorsha's group find these two idiots and have their revenge as they expect to. Just to make sure that they know that they have betrayed me, and that I am aware of it...exchange their real weapons with easily breakable copies that will surely surprise them upon engaging in combat! Then, you yourself will join in the battle at the right moment and make sure that they see your face. That will let them know it was from me. Pretend to ally yourself with Sorsha and kill the two fools of mine before they can breathe out a word about me. You are dismissed. Trusted Servant: "Oh! Thank you, my Lord! Thank you! I shall go immediately to make the preparations!" [ 01-10-2002: Message edited by: Larry_OHF ] |

Rrang
He stopped his pacing to observe the others. There was not going to be any direct threat aimed at Smellnice, as far as he could see. It was all hindwalker buisness what was going on, and they did not interest him. But he had promised Legolas to protect, so he would remain watchful. No reason to do that in an uncomfortable position though. He lay down on the ground, folding his arms in front of his body to keep them warm, and ants from crawling up his face. The man moved a bit to put his spear in a more comfortable position, before refolding his arms. With the talking still going on, Rrang decided he'd have time to clean up a bit and started licking his right wrist. The wind carried the smell of another horse, and a slight amount of beer. Sweat and the smell of that man. He had seen him before, this man. Smelt him before, too. It was the one walking in front of the cub's group. No cause for concern. He could kill him easily if he was trouble. Slowly, he blinked. Stopping his washing, he looked over at the others. Talk kept coming from their mouths. He rested his head on his arms, a low growl coming from his own. |

OOC: Yes, it is you he smells. And as for Jaime's reaction, well, imagine riding into the camp or whatever it is, seeing the woman in pink armour you've met briefly before and tried to kill, Sorsha still dazed in het blanket, the bard who the group feared would bring harm and a tall muscular paladin with a large horse, and on top of that a man with a spear, dressed in barely anything at all except for tattered rags, behaving like he's a wolf or something.
That's quite a difference from the setting before you left. I don't know how a Jaime would react in a situaton like this, after all, he doesn't have any direct responsibilities to anyone other than a sleepy Sorsha. There are two strangers and two semi-strangers, one lying near Sorsha (if Jaime even sees it is her) the other three talking a little ways off. I would certainly stop for a moment to get my bearings... But like I said, it's not me, but Jaime there ![]() For all I know he could ride past without so much as greeting this unfamilliar group of travellers |
