Using Wiz7 characters is good.
You get exp to level up to lev5 automatically, extra skill points, possible different starting areas depending on how u finished the game and probably most importantly, you can bring along SOME decent weapons.

Including things like the enchanted broadsword and mystic spear and decent bows.
Makes quite a difference at the start.

Good equipment + 1 lev of stealth

Yah, his opening lines when you meet him add something like; "oh, I remember you...didn't do much for Yammo [Yamir's counterpart from Guardia]...the Federation has changed a lot, thanks to you..." like he's not all that happy to see you again.

I also have never finished several games. But that's o.k. The real fun of the game is all of the planning, thinking, researching and trying new ideas. And if you havent finished it you still have a reason to give it another try in a year or so after the boredom wears off. I have traded or given away several games that I grew tired of and after a year or so wished I still had (and have repurchased some but then you usually dont get the printed manual.)I spent 20$ for wiz 8 and have already gotten a good 100 hours of entertainment from it, I spent that much to see Spidey 2 and it was over in a couple hours. Just enjoy the ride, who cares if you make it to the end of the line.

Well hello wiz 8 fans..This is my first post in this forum. I have been a wizardry player since the very first one...remember the green and black screen..blaaaaaaahhhh. anyway wanted to say hello and nice to see interest in wiz. it is a great game.
So on to the topic...I like the bard and gadgy combo for 2 reasons...modern weapons bonus and the bards ability to crowd control as well...they make a get combo. The jack in the box and the siren's wail control many problems for the party.
The bard is a lucky character and I think the game is favoring her....many nice bard only items that have turned the tide for me.
By the way will Sir Tech be comming out with Wiz 9 by chance...I would love that.

See ya,

Thunder

Hey thunder,
Welcome to our most excellent forum!

I would take a Gadgy over a bard any day! When you to make the NegatAir, nothing compares. I just got to As. peak and fought the Rapax Prince etc. This item killed 10 of the 20 in the first round. Tell me what's better than that! The 2 Bards in the party are ok but the instruments just don't work as well on high lvl dudes.
