Fugazi or the Beatles, depending on mood. Pink Floyd, Van Morrison and The Flaming Lips are up there.

Pink Floyd's first album was great. The rest of their career was an apology.

'It's an idea somewhere,
in my dreams, my sleep.
Don't you want to be approved
of? Life that comes of nothing.
You and I and dominoes.
Time goes by.'
- Syd Barrett

'Remember when you were young, you shone like the sun.
Now there's a look in your eyes, like black holes in the sky.
You were caught on the crossfire of childhood and stardom, blown on the
steel breeze.
Come on you target for faraway laughter, come on you stranger, you legend,
you martyr, and shine!'
- Pink Floyd, apologising to Syd Barrett.

It's kind of tragic that mediocrity will beat talent more often than not.

The Wall was a great album, but I wish I was around while it was in theaters. That was way before my time.

The Wall was fun in the theater - I saw it in re-runs probably 15 years ago. And Meg - liking Barrett better than Rogers is one thing, but no way was Rogers mediocre.

"Statistical anomaly"? I'd actually be surprised if we didn't have numerous PF fans on Ironworks. After all, they *did* sell over 140 million albums worldwide. That's more than, say, Metallica and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

I love music period, any kind except country. My favorite bands are Staind, Cold, Perfect Circle, Godsmack, and Limp Bizkit.
