I don't have a clue to the answer, teardropmina, but my curiosity is killing me.

I would REALLY like to know the answer, because it sounds as if the characters are playing some type of CRPG based on Aliens.

ok, Cerek, it's Avalon (2001)... one of Oshii Mamoru's live action films.

Mamoru's most famous movie here in the US is Ghost in the Shell. His animation features are great, and so are his live action movies [img]smile.gif[/img]

I think you can find region 1 DVD of Avalon. Check it out at your own risk though [img]tongue.gif[/img] his movies are offbeat and "slow" (or "artsy") by the mainstream anime and action genre stanard.
