I find that the BMU is pretty useless. Its makes you so big that you can't go to a lot of places. The launmcher you get with it is the only nice thing.

this is a dueling strategy that has been known to only the best players (way back then). as DOE doesnt do much dmg, the character was usually required to equip Corm hammer. but this trategy can be easily defeated because all weapons one uses were blunt weapon. there was this blue potion that grants +10 AC against blunt weapon, and it was cumulative. ah hah.

nevertheless, this set up is perfect for dragon hunting and killing whatever baddies (whatever baddies, barb has exerllent saving throw)

Pity it did not become general knowledge back then. Not that most of yesteryear's general knowledge are known by the general crowd now... if I see another post promoting the usage of Daystar versus Demi-Liches, I am going to hurl in real-life.

Wow, this thread is really great! Makes me want to play a Thief and use Jan's Armor with the Defender of Easthaven!

How was it even ressurected? Aren't these kinds of threads supposed to be in the archives?

And Lord, Agreed. Very much agreed.

Wow, I didn't even realize it was so old! Anyway, great topics, no matter how long they've been collecting dust, deserve some attention. And this is a sweet thread!

Agreed. I didn't think you could get the resistances so high, ala Icewind Dale.

Time for another run-through. *sigh*

MU's most brilliant student, he's not so prudent at times
With loads of mad palaver he commits his cadaverous crimes
As he injects a potion to witness motion anew
You must admit, it's terrific, Herbert's scientific breakthrough
