and its perfect if she says "faster than chikkita fastpaws!!!" one of the PERFECT moments in the game for me was when i feebleminded firky, then polymorphed him, and had aerie chase him around with this big hammer...

Clerics do have some nasty things to do...cloak of fear, power word fear (if i am not mistaken) .They have some chance of beating mage.
But the mage will still win in 9/10 cases.

See the problem with your previous statement there?
If you go further back Dundee, you will see that I suggested the Cleric/Mage multiclass as the winner of this contest. Therefore I see no problem with my pervious [EDIT]PREVIOUS [/EDIT] statement.

Clerics can also cast santuary, walk right up to the mage and cast circle of bones while keeping the santuary spell.

A cleric does have tricks it can use to its advantage. It just depends on the circumstances, like which spells they have memorized etc..

A good cleric can beat a mage anyday and vice versa.

Circle of bones? Maybe you were thinking of Blade Barrier...

Hmmmm, I see. Although... it a moot point to state that the Cleric/Mage is better than either the Cleric or the Mage. Since it is a given that a Cleric/Mage has benefits from both classes.

---- ----

pritchke, you are thinking of Icewind Dale. This is Baldur's Gate 2. Otherwise known as the game, "Hi. I'm a Cleric and this is a nerf stick up where the sun don't shine".
