The Right Hand of Bane
Bane's Guantlet, the Black Hand, is the lost item from Bane's death when he fell against Torm. The item itself has great power, but it is whispered amongst all adventurers it's true power could be reached if it were reunited with a dark blade.

Statistics:
 • +4 to Armor Class
 • +25% Magic Resistance
 • Weilder gains immunity to all Death, Poison, and Disease Magic.
 • Weilder cannot be effected from Fatigue or Morale Failure.
Location: The Forgotten (encounter in Watcher's Keep)

-----------------------------------------------------------------

The Black Blade
Spoken among more tales than bards know of, The Black Blade is a legendary sword dating back to the infamous Time of Troubles. This was the blade used by Torm, a gift from one of his most loyal followers. In a battle between Torm and Bane, Torm struck Bane down and the god lay dead in the earth until he was reborn through his son. The blade was lost once Torm was slain in the same battle, with the blade secured by a follower of Helm. It was later discarded because Bane's divine blood stained the blade and gave it even greater powers than it ever had.

Now that you have forged Blackrazor and the Right Hand of Bane together, the true weapon and symbol of death from Bane is yours.

Combat Abilities:
 • When hit, there is a 25% chance the target will be instantly slain.
 • When hit, if a save vs. death (at -3) is not made, 3 levels will be drained from the target.
Equipped Abilities:
 • Immunity to Death Magic, Poison, Disease, Fatigue, and Morale Failure.
 • +4 to Constitution
 • +50% Magic Resistance
 • Regardless of alignment, whoever bears this sword will be shifted to Chaotic Evil.

The crossbow itself, though slightly aged, is in excellent condition and has uncanny firing speed.

I'm trying to think up of a good script for the Forgotten encounter, but seeing as dialogue is my area, I thought I should just start on that first. Please submit your comments on this.

Warning, does contain a bit of Wk Spoilers, just a bit...

The second demon lord falls, with an expression of hatred dying with him. You look forth, trying to find a way out of the endless maze, though you still feel a foul sensation in the air. Someone draws close, you feel panic sweeling in your chest as one gates in from another room, maze, or another dimension, you're not sure. He comes, a man dressed in death like black with a Reaper hanging from his arm as he looks at you with hollow eyes. He speaks.

The Forgotten: Hmm, you, yes... hahe.

*His laugh is barely heard as he coughs, apparently he is in great pain in his body and mind.*

The Forgotten: Hmmm, you, you have been trapped within this cursed maze as well, how,
*cough* unfortunate it is...

*His head jerks as Blackrazor begins to hum with a tremendous power in your sheeth. The stranger's hand is quick to grab it, but draws back from you.*

The Forgotten: You carry the symbol of the dark one, give to me, Blackrazor... come to your former master.

*You notice the man wears a rugged gauntlet as he sends forth his hand once again. The guantlet radiates evil of the likes of which you have never seen nor felt. You see Blackrazor shift violently now as it attempts to fly forth. As hard as you may try, the sword leeps from you and instantly lands in the man's gauntlet.*

Pc: What is the meaning of this! Who are you!

The Forgotten: You are a god child, yes, heheha... I have waited, so long to find this precious blade. I thank you godling but for such times without the carnage of Bane apon this land is a blight of itself.

Pc:
1) What are you saying? You speak in riddles!
2) I care not, return to me my sword!

The Forgotten:
1) For a godling, you're not too bright, not much indeed, hehe. Do you remember, yes, Bhaal walked the land and Bane with him. My lord and master created such carnage. *He laughs as he speaks* I am .. I know not. For since the Time of Troubles I have waited for the avatar of death to look apon his best once again, but in vain.

2) You are in no position to command me idiot, I wield death now, so long I have waited for this cursed moment!

Pc:
1) You... are the chosen of Bane?
2) Who are you?

The Forgotten:
1) Aye, for a time I was. Whilst he walked the earth in the Time of Troubles, I alone greeted him for the others were too cowardly to do so. But when the war was over, he had forgotten about me, and all that I had done for him. For years I had try to see him again, anew with the power he should have had, but I have not. So, as a tribute to him I shall bring to him the weapon that was stripped of him so long ago! I will take to his side as his iron right hand!

2) I am.. I, I don't know. It's been too long since I have been reconized as someone or by anyone. I am simply the chosen of Bane, god of death and of massacre, it was I who created his Avatar as he was sent before us made of flesh. I helped lead the attacks against that bastard Torm, but he slew my master but even though he was reborn, I have never had sight of him again... I can take this no longer! My body is cursed for being his chosen, for 500 years I have had to live, and with each passing day my body becomes weaker and my bones brittle! I shall bring him the blade for the peace I will find in death!!

Pc: Wait, I would have more words with you!

The Forgotten: No, it ends here godling. My body may be weak, but my power has not left me yet!

The Forgotten-
Fighter- 15th Level
Necromancer- 27th Level (dualed)

Edit: Spelling

Hey Gangrell isn`t your Black Blade(TM ) a little over-powered? IMHO that is.

No, the only real benefit is the equipped abilities because most enemies are immune to death magic and level draining. Besides, you need good stats to weild it, not to mention you can't forge it until the end of ToB.

Pyrenk, I agree with Gangrell. You don't need to be so picky. Lets just enjoy the items.

Would someone mind helping me make an item using IEEP? I was pretty much able to do it all following the instructions, but some of it confused me:

On the 'General' Screen, I don't know what to put in Inventory, Ground, and Desc Pic. Under destroyed, it automatically had MISC56 there, but I dunno what to do with the other ones.
Next, under Equiping Effects, I wanted to give the weilder a 5% bonus to magic resistance, but I don't understand how to do that. Under timing mode, I put while effect, and 0 under effect time. Next to probability, I put 0%-100% since the instructions said that putting that in would have the effect always occur. I also put self as the target, and then had no idea what to do with the rest of it since I only want to add 5% magical resistance.
The other thing was on the 'Other Info' screen, where I didn't know what to put under attack range (there is currently a 0 there) and what goes under 'Use Item.'
BTW, I am making a type of Long Sword. Any help would be appreciated.

In the General screen, for pics, you need to have Infinity Explorer. This programs gives you a code to put into the blanks so it can load up the pic you want. You said you wanted a Long Sword right? Here are some codes for the sword.

Inventory: INSW1H03
Ground: GSW1H01
Description Pic: PSW1H60

Under equipping effects, find and click on Magic Resistance Bonus, and type in the following.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Time Mode: While Equipped

Effect Time: 0

Probability: 0-100% Target: Self

Resource Key: (leave blank) Power: (leave blank)
Dice Throws: 0 d: 0

Saving Throw: No Saving Throw
Saving Throw Bonus: 0

Attributes: Not Dispellable & Bypass Resistence
-----------------------------------------------------------
Then click on Click to Edit Parameters and you'll have a small box pop up. Just to add +5% Magic Resistance, type in a five in the Statistic Modifier and leave the Modifier Type at 0. When you're done, click ok.

On the Other Info page, it just adds more information to your weapon, wiether it's ranged, melee, magical, so forth. The attack range for a sword should be 1.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for all that info, Gangrell. And that link helped a lot too, Vedran. Thanks!

Edit: Bah, I can't get the item into my game. I tried using this from the link Vedran gave me (under tutorial):

'*:CreateItem("?",#1,#2)

where * is the beginning command based upon which game you are playing (for Baldur's Gate 1 or Baldur's Gate 2 use CLUAConsole, for Icewind Dale use CHEATERSDOPROSPER, and for Icewind Dale: Heart of Winter use GetYourCheatOn), ? is the name of the item file to create without its extension (i.e. if the name was TLSW101.ITM then you would use TLSW101), #1 is the number of the item to create or the charges for the first extension header at creation, and #2 is the number of charges for the second extension header at creation. NOTE that you have to keep the quotation marks in the command for it to work.'

It didn't exactly work out...

I put:

Inventory- INSW1H03
Ground- GSW1H01
Desc- PSW1H60
Destroyed- MISC56

and under other info, under use item, i put:

ISW1H05

Since I completely suck with computers, I have no idea how to get it into my game

Save the item into Override directory in your BG2 directory. Now start the game and open the console. Write: CLUAConsole:CreateItem("ITEMNAME"). ITEMNAME is the name of the item as you have saved it. If it was, for example SW1HLORD.ITM, you would write CLUAConsole:CreateItem("SW1HLORD").
