I suppose it's possible that Tolgerias carries 2 RotRs, and killing him can get you both....but that would be tricky, since as soon as he turns hostile he immediately Dimension Doors away, so you've got to either Backstab him or disrupt his spell. And even if you succeed, I believe that you can loot only 1 RotR from his corpse.

Dundee is on the right track (of course) with how to get 3 RotRs in the same game, but I recall that I lost more than 1 Rep. point....maybe 3. But then, I've only done it once, and that was quite a while ago. Perhaps my being the NE leader of an Evil party with a low Rep. was what caused the severe Rep. loss.....

Wellard, Tolgerias is immediately hostile when you first see him in the Planar Sphere, and even if you Charmed him in order to Pickpocket him, you'd only be stealing from yourself in the end.

What surprises me is that nobody's mentioned how difficult it is to pickpocket Renal Bloodscalp (and, to a lesser degree, Gaylan Bayle). This guy's a better watchman than most shops! Don't try lifting Renal's purse without at least 180% Pick Pockets, let me tell you THAT much.

the stupid thing about pick pocketing is, that if you pickpocket something really worthwhile, you could usually have gotten it by doing a quest for it; and if you do the quest later, you won't get the item.

you allso can pickpocket quest related items back from the people you gave it to. (can you pickpocket the ilithium back from that artist? have to try it someday)

When you give a good item to somebody (such as the illithium), it usually gets put into the person's Backpack, from where it cannot be pickpocketed. (Or, at least when I try pickpocketing my own party members, I only get things that they're currently wearing.) You can, however, usually get the item back by killing the person, although that's not always a good solution, and isn't guaranteed to work: Sometimes, the script does not transfer the item from your possession to theirs, it simply removes the item from the game.

Thief skills roll over at 255%. Go easy on those Potions of Master Thievery!

And I just thought of a way to get *4* (!!) rings of the ram... but, it wouldn`t be easy... you`d loose a *LOT* of reputation, and you`d have to have perfect timing.
Anyone care to guess how ??
(and ofcourse, I could be wrong about it working... i`ll have to test it one day... )

[/QUOTE]Are you sure about Tolgerias using Dimension Door as soon as you attack him?
Because I'm 100% certain I found a Ring of the Ram a few games ago in the Council of Six Building..., is it possible that you can kill Tolgerias before he Dimension doors away? (if not there is somebody else with a Ring of The Ram in the Council of Six Building)

It is possible to pickpocket a Ring of Protection +2 from a Druid if you know where to look and have mad timing skills. You also need an oil of speed and REALLY GOOD pickpocket skills. (Over 200% or so is what I needed for it to work)

I will let you fine folks figure it out. The only hint I offer is go where Druids like to hang out.
