Major points, Animal! I love the Concrete Garbage Can
Reminds me of two stories passed along to me... ... one guy got even with some mailbox bashers by buying a mailbox, putting in one of those clay drainage pipes, and filling the gap outside with concrete. Mail still fit nicely (inside the pipe), but woe betide anyone who tried to smash a home run... ... second one, a guy got tired of people running into his mailbox post. So he put up a new one, but added some artwork -- wrought iron bars formed into a spiky kind of flower all around. Smash his mailbox, poke three holes in your oilpan. Never had a problem again

The other night I was on the balconey looking over our parking lot when I saw these two kids knock down a lamppost and go running into the night laughing hysterically as it crashed loudly to the ground.
I called the cops but the the kids were long gone by the time the cops showed up and the kids were so far away I couldn't get anymore than a superficial description.

The problem is that we are too tolerant. What mindless criminals need is some quality time in a 6'x8' cell with half a dozen like minded individuals. If it doesn't reform them (and let's face it, it won't) at least it will keep them away from civilised people for a while.

I firmly believe that all convicted vandals should have a shock collar to prevent them from using blunt objects and spray paint cans. If it's legal to use on dogs, it should be legal to use on vandals...

Well those things do not really affect us that much because we always live in a village (you know, that has an association, guards and all)... but then you cannot really avoid those jerks. Fortunately for us, we never had that problem. But I have heard in our village recently that some cars are losing their tire bolts or screws because the children and getting them... or so they presuppose.
The popular thing around here though is the thievery of side mirrors and emblems of european cars. hehehe And then you would see them in tricycles or whatever public transport. |
