Not really anything to do with difficulty, just that it's totally mind numbing and it's sometimes tough to concentrate on doing a decent job. My friend worked at a Famous Players for 5 years, but he said that floor duty was worse.

Floor isn't bad, usually just theater checks that are a pain. Concession, at my theater anyways, is brutal just because of the idiots that are back there (they're there for a reason. ). Aside from projection, which I'll get my first taste of tomorrow, the best position to be at is box. Even though you're by yourself mostly in a little box.

I can see it being totally mind numbing. But I figure it's the only way I can get a decent pay working there (work as projectionist long/frequent enough you move up to $8.50 an hour, I'm at $7.31 right now).
I liked Famous Players, much better than this east coast theater that's taken over.

Heya all. A few months ago i posted in Cloudy's about a rather nasty UV burn i suffered at work. The tectonic blister! Anyways, after having a biopsy on the mole that was burned, they told me to come back and get it chopped. That was yesterday. I've now got six stitches just below my belly button where the mole used to be. But that's fine. I've already thought of a few cool stories to explain the scar.

What gets me is just how much tissue they had to remove. Sure it was a decent sized mole, but i could've neatly dropped a ten cent piece (that's about 23mm ) into the hole that it came out of. It's got me wondering about what exactly turned up in the biopsy. Anyone else had similar fears after a chop?

Oh, and apparently it's not usual to want a peek after she says "it's out!" What's wrong with that?

The only surgery I ever had was to remove 8 teeth, so I can't say I ever have.

Maybe it's a little odd, but it can't be that uncommon to want to see the dang thing that caused you that much hastle, can it?

I had a mole taken out once. On my head. No stiches though, they just shaved it off.

Had a critter sliced off my nose. No big deal.

I suspect there's nothing wrong with curiousity about what they took out, but while they're still in the process? That might take them back a little...

LOL, I think I agree with Bungleau- they probably aren't used to people wanting to see while in progress.

Sir G, I never tried to run a projector but I've seen it done. Seems easy enough but you have to concentrate on what needs doing/when and not miss the changing of the reels! Good luck!
