I'm sorry, Ziroc, but I was mad because it was damned annoying...NOT because I was fooled.

I couldn't concentrate on the posts I was trying to read because the page kept jumping all over the screen. Some members mentioned how the pages kept scrolling down making it impossible to see what they were actually trying to type.

I can appreciate a good joke - even when it is at my expense - but I was serious about the "jumping screen" giving me a headache. I couldn't spend more than a few minutes at a time looking at the "shaking screen" before my eyes began to hurt. Several members thought it was a good joke, but many others did not.

Are all of us who did not enjoy it just poor sports? Or is it possible there was some validity to our complaints?

Of course not! It really was annoying, regardless of why it was happening. One of those things that seems good in theory but has unexpected side effects that don't go down so well

Sorry but I was pretty furious - I couldn't read posts, couldn't reply, and it kept making my PC crash. Sorry, I knew it was a joke, but I didn't find it funny at all - bloody annoying.

I doubt it made your PC crash. PCs usually crash when a process attempts to run an illegal operations, attempts to access memory outside its memory space, runs out of buffer memory etc. You don't get crashes for a javascript moving a window.

Well, I'm sorry it did that to you. the script was not designed to do that. just shake. So I guess you are pissed at me, since I did this?

Just to add--I left it on all day because I didn't figure people would hang out on the forum for long, so it wouldn't be a problem.. ah well. It was a joke, and most people thought it was funny.

Humm... guys... seriously, if you get mad because you can't visit the forum for a day, then there is a problem somewhere, and it's called addiction.

Sure, Ironworks is one of the greatest website on the net, but if you can't spend a day without visiting, then it's serious, and I know what I am talking about, I spent 3 years of my life playing MMORPG about 18-24 hours a day 7/7.

Maybe it would be a good idea to take a day off the forum every once in a while. I doubt Ziroc would like if some families where broken because of the Forum.

I saw it from work and thought it was funny myself.
Yes, I do stop in to read and try to keep up with whats going on in the games and things --- beleive it or not.
I am not a computer wizard by any means so I don't know the bad things that can happen. Our server at work nukes anything close to invading so I can easily surf without worry. On my personal pc its much different thow. Reading up on some threads here has given me great advice on firewalls and such. I'm a concrete worker if you all didn't know. I couldn't tell you anything how these things work.
Well, just wanted to add what little I could. How do you all study to do these kind of things?

Someone told me a story about a guy named slackerboy who pulled a quicky or two..
