Ha ha... Yes, I prefer that women are happy, especially by my doing! (But perhaps I will try to draw some unhappy, depressed, angry, or drunken women later on, as well as some jubilant, overconfident, pissed off, or drunken men later on )

(Actually, I usually try to draw neutral-looking pictures, so that they can be more easily applied to general use, but... it might be fun to change things a bit.)

Nice pictures, Dinonykos! I am glad to see that you have produced a beautiful female dwarf in all her bearded glory (And Bruce is, well, sbrucy, too )

After all these discussions in the forum, I had to do it. However, I admit I still do not like the idea of bearded female dwarves (although, as mentioned earlier, from an evolutionary biologist's point of view, the idea is quite reasonable).

I would think with dwarves that bearded females are not only acceptable but considered beautiful, but I'm still "too human".

I just draw my female dwarves as male dwarves (in fact, you can use any of my dwarf pictures as female dwarves) to save time

Interestingly, the depictions of female dwarfs with beards that I have seen in official AD&D publications so far were rather like Dinonykos's picture in that the beards were somewhat small compared to the luscious, luxurious beards of the male dwarfs. (I guess they wanted some sexual dimorphism at least!)

In the Forgotten Realms, a dwarf goddess (of beauty?) had a beard that would blink on and off - I guess to make sure that her beauty would affect non-dwarfs as well (although I think that even a momentary beard would probably down it for me ).

Ah - well, in our own world, human women do some of that, too Perhaps even dwarves have ups and downs in the fashion world. ("In our days, sonny, the women had long, luxurious beards! Oooh, I get the shivers just thinkin' o' that! Young dwarf-ettes these days, they just don't have that oomph!")

I'm picturing fashion week with demihuman models. It's all fun and games until the dwarves and elves start fighting, usually after one of the elves calls one of the dwarves, "Mister".

Hmmmmm - when do dwarfs get their beards, anyway? Or are they born with them? I've not seen many pictures (any pictures) of dwarf children...
