Wow, for an old witch, she sure has aged well.

Both of the ladies are very hot. Is the grey elf single?

Great work, Uatu. I would love to see more elves and more gnomes. I would love icons and portraits. The ones you've given us so far are so cool, I would like to have a community, or at least neighbourhood of each race in a module.

Oh, a couple of the elves being drow would be awesome, too.

Man, when I win the lottery, I'm going to set you and Dinonykos up doing some art for me. And I'll buy some copies of VS6 to give to people on the list who want to compile DC and maybe, just maybe, I'll get a pony.

Ha ha, well, you know, potions of longevity and such are bread and butter for witches it seems...

The grey elf is also likely to be hundreds of years older than the witch, although she gets to keep her youthfulness naturally...

I am actually planning to draw a gnome, specifically named David ... I just for some reason have a pang to draw David the Gnome... Heh, heh...

Drow - well, one of these days Male or female? (I don't have a female icon yet.)

Actually, I guess VS6 isn't THAT expensive, considering (a pony is much more), but...

David the Gnome would fit right in with my current test characters. I'm using Steve the Paladin, Julie the Mage, Louis the Thief, Karl the Ranger, Brenda the Cleric, Roger the Druid and Bill the Fighter.

As for the lady elf, well I've no problems with an older woman. Do old elves (relative to being an elf) look old in the same that humans would?

Impressive as ever, Uatu! I hope either Manikus uses a bunch of your characters in his Provohost design or you find some time to use them yourself!

Thanks

I tend to go off on tangents when drawing (because it is more exciting! ), but I am trying to stay on track for now, or at least until I can at least make a demo for the mod I am working on... (So, no more sea creatures and whales for now... )

It is of course great if manikus or anyone else can find a use for some of my stuff (and yours) until then...

And I hope to see/try your design soon, manikus! (My sound is broken right now, though... )

Hmm, sound...

I haven't added any sound. I of course have the default sound effects, but hadn't even thought about music and/or other sounds.
I guess I will some midis. They are small, free to use and I can think of some that will fit the mood/theme quite well.

I probably have a playable version done already, it's just not a finishable version.

Well, I won't be able to hear them on my machine, at least until I get some new power

Some new/not-so-new portraits for today:

1. Faerie elf - actually, I made a boo-boo with the gray elf last time - gray elves should have silver hair and amber eyes, OR light golden hair and violet eyes (not silver hair and violet eyes)... so I went and made a golden-hair version instead of the silver-hair one. (The silver one is still there, but I guess I will have to change the eyes to amber later on.)
2. Human fighter - to go along with my icon. A rather vanilla portrait, but... (No inspiration? Heh, heh.)
3. Kobold - I was looking at my reject stuff, and thought that this actually didn't look too bad, if fixed... so I fixed it up.
4. Troll - this one I like
5. Magic-user - this is actually not new at all - I made it for the defunct collaboration, and have moved it to the normal pages. To go along with this, I modified an icon as well (and baldified it ).

I dunno, for me, ugly humanoids, old men, and young women are fun to draw - young men are not quite as fun to do... (Animals are quite difficult in comparison, although I like animals.)

How do you feel about drawing middle aged men? Guys about the age of your ranger lord?

All of the portraits are very good. I think I like the silver-haired elf better, I think it's the silver hair/dark lipstick combo. But, all of them, the troll is really outstanding.
