I'll keep that in mind, Cyril. This place is much more different than the freeform RP i'm used to elsewhere.
And no, Tao apparently didnt mention to me the dangers of shadow in these RPs Larry, so i'm gonna have to make sure and scold her for it =) |

ooc: The winter weather has produced an unexpected break for me and so I may put up a post or two tonight - mainly to advance the overall plot as my schedule still precludes actively DMing the daily events of the thread unless Larry requires specific help.
BTW - Larry, how attached have you become to Euryale? I haven't decided to kill anyone, yet - but the Giants of Shadow are, as you noted in that well-written post of yours, a threat to all beings in the game. |

Arcades - Feel free to PM me with any questions you have about the game - while life has kept me too busy to post on a consistently active schedule I can certainly find the time to answer a few questions, especially because I appreciate how tough a transition it can be to enter a long running game as a new player. Unfortunately, we are at that decisive stage in the story where even small actions can have great and unforeseen consequences - a situation that is forcing everyone to be a bit more thoughtful in their posts. As my interpretation of how things work and how gameplay should proceed is, until this story concludes, the decisive interpretation I do try to set aside time to be available should questions arise.
As you've discovered, the game has its own peculiar logic and flow which is in no small part a result of how it has developed over the past year and a half and while the original roleplaying in the game was very freeform, that same freeform roleplaying has produced a very definite world and style. At this point, even the moves I make as GM are less free than they might appear, because only a limited number of possibilities are now open in the story if we are to take the results of all of this roleplaying seriously. And so please feel free to send any questions about the game or how to participate along to me and I'll do my best to answer them. If you get a chance, it is worth reading through the previous threads of the game to get a feel for both its history and the style of play. While my creatures will undoubtedly seek the death of your character - as they do everyone's at this point - I am glad to have you with us. Ruby: as soon as you are able...I need you to post and explain how you saved yourself and Wyrd from being spotted or detected in any way. Also...did you save the grimlock or has he been left to fend for himself?
In keeping with the time lapse of passing events, we need to keep up so that not too much time passes so we would have so much to explain away. Anarrima has been hiding in an ethearal state and cannot see you. When all the monsters leave the area (will be soon)...then she will appear and look for you. Then it will be your turn to appear and then we can move on to whatever we think we should. |

It's that thing I said about surviving the end of the world twice, isn't it?
Regarding coming back... I think it's actually safer to be a statue right now ![]() I'll PM you all the same though, soon... [ 12-14-2003, 06:47 PM: Message edited by: Legolas ] |

ooc: OK - That is a high enough body count for the present.
![]() Morgeruat - I'll hold off on posting anything else below ground to give you a chance to post for Saithele. Your character might have just been able to pick up the faint sounds of the worst of the screaming from the other band of Grimlocks -- if he did I would advise an exceding degree of caution, no snmall amnount of cleverness and a healthy dose of plain old good luck ..... |
