I'm up for options 2 or 3. I don't think that the forum would really offer a working environment (of course I could wrong).

The detailed story is almost there (I am up to 10 pages so far). I will make a list of art work needed, but Uatu, I don't think you necessarily have to create it all from scratch if there is something out there already, but it would help if someone was the graphics guru and maintained a graphics data base.

I will contruct the character DB, do the coding and be the guru of the storyline (although any suggestions or ideas will more than welcome).

One other thing, after I contructed the first outpost and location in DC I went in and play tested the characters arriivng at the Keep and having to face some pretty tough guards. The key to wnning the battle is strategic use of sleep and hold spells. For some reason I could not get the sleep spells to work except in the space the caster occupied. Needless to say I never got past the 1st encounter. Can we fix that?

Were you using the default spells? And if so, from what release?

Did the hold spells work?

Yes I was using the default sleep spell. The release was the current one as far as I know 0.914. I will have to go back and check about the hold spell. I am not sure my cleric (level 2) had the hold spell available.

I only brought this up because there are very few "easy" combats in the mod. Most of the time the Players will have to use everything they have just to survive. The combats have been tested in FRUA and they will keep the PCs right on the edge. However, that assumes the use of sleep and hold spells at lower levels to even the playing field.

I just wanted to mention that you should not exchange your art and music via the forum. While it would be certainly motivating for other DCers if you posted your art, you should at least keep a few surprises for the release of the design . I have e.g. neither yet posted pics of the main characters of my design, nor special walls (secret passages, stairs etc.), nor the music (except for the opening music).

We should save some surprises for the potential players of the mod for sure.

Up to twelve pages on the detailed description. The end game is somewhat complicated in that alot of things happen pretty quickly and the PCs may not have enough time to rest or even level up. So I am rethinking the end game section slightly to allow some leeway before the Players transfer to the hidden citadel after which they will have to just tough it out.

The balance between making it challenging but not impossible is always a dilemma.

I think the point raised by Dinonykos is excellent. I will start a yahoo! group for this project. We will have 100MB of space for files, which should be enough, but if its not, we can have second group just for extra files. As soon as I get it set up, I'll pm the address to Uatu and JonnieR.

Is there anyone else who wants in? If so, just respond to this thread or pm me and we can get you hooked up.

JonnieR - I can't wait to read this.
