I just hope they don't ride on their success and let things slip. ..and I hope they don't introduce too many of them, I think they'll get too watered down.

-There was a distinct electro sound when he first used it. -EMP's are not hurtful to humans to the degree that Peter used it. -There is a commentary on the first show which has Tim Kring stating that the electrobolt is a new power. Also, the comics are frequently tied in with the latest episode just like my above quote. If you want to enrich your story, read them. Another example is the excellent comic after the episode Sylar got shot by HRG in his home. The comic shows what happened to Sylar after this.

Didn't Peter use the "electrokinesis" ability in the storage container? In which case it's prior to his encounter with Irish man's sister. Unless there was a previous encounter in the comic? Or was she among the group raiding the storage unit? I don't remember a female being with them at the time.
Additionally, As a matter of course they are defying most known physical laws in the show anyway, so they may have decided the make the EMP attack push someone back. Alternatively, in a state of panicked self-defense, Peter may have discharged an exceptionally dense charge of EMP, theoretically this could impact the iron in the human body throwing them back. But that's all just theoretical.

Sounds too far-fetched to me.

Well that episode was... interesting, to say the least. I must say, the Mr. Borneman/Suresh partnership is interesting, as is Alejandro and Maya's part of the story.
And, man did we predict Hiro's next move! Go us! ![]() |

Hmm. but does Hiro retain the role of hero? OR does Takezo Kensai now realizing his near immortality decide maybe he doesn't have so much to lose? And so decides to be the hero since dying in the act it much more difficult for him now.

My early prediction on the Mysterious Killer.
He is Takezo Kensai. The reason the company are looking for Claire last seaon is because she has the same power as him (thus Noah hiding her). Think about it. If he can't die, that means his cells never die or grow old........ The only power that will kill him is.................Maya's power but will she want to use it???

That's an interesting thought, TDC. For the Heroes sereies, god only knows it would fit in.
![]() It'll be interesting what they pull on us this season. Quite frankly, they're off to a great start. |

All the same, instant regeneration of cells doesn't necesarily mean infinite regeneration. I think I've heard a theory somewhere that the human lifespan is determined by the number of times your cells can divide/regenerate. So if you go around forcing your body to heal at an accelerated rate you may in fact reduce your life span. Less likely to die of unnatural causes, but still more likely to die young.
Unless you assume the wolverine model, (different universe yeah blah blah) anyways his power being that he not only has accelerated regeneration but also infinite regeneration. Keep in mind this, like much of science today, is based on a theory (one who's origins I can't even confirm at the moment, to boot) and so it amounts to nothing more than speculation. So we have multitudes of theories based on theories, and I'm forced to wonder where the science has gone. (^but that's a different topic for a different day in a different forum, as it has nothing directly to do with the show)
