*Someone takes out an iPod.* Oh look, another iPod. wow. *everyone moves on*
*I take out my A3000* OMFG What is that!? Hey, why's it shiny like that? Where's the screen? THAT'S the screen!? WOW! DUDE! *everyone gathers like bees to honey*
Status symbol my ass. I bought my 20GB Sony A3000 last year on Xmas for about 200 bucks, and the 5GB iPod was 300 back then. And what I wrote up there really is what happens.

Yeah iTunes is horrible to use. I think the MS Mp3 players I see in Walmart look amazing and I'd much prefer one since I can use them directly through media center...damn thing is all set up for Mp3 players but I can't use mine with it. Only problem is they're all like $300+ and I don't think I could spend that on a digital walkman...only reason I have an iPod is cuz it was given to me.

Before Apple get shitty over this they need to take a long hard look at themselves. Apple and Music to us older people means one thing .... Beatles

Apple have been ripping off the Beatles copyright for years and they (apple) know it. The beatles own the copyright to the name when used in conjuction with music but apple have had a stuff you attitude try and sue us. Well I hope Ringo and Paul back this young guy to the hilt to expose these corprate crooks for what they are.

BTW are Ipods still the most unreliable electrical product out there?

Hear here...NOt like I'm fessin' up to being old or anything, but I deleted the whole Beatles thing out of my previous post. The whole deal, as I recall, went that so long as Apple Computers stayed out of music, then Apple Records wouldn't have a problem with it. I don't remember where I read the article on it, but if I were Apple, I'd just let iTunes die a slow quiet death, since it could end up costing them big time.

*The screen on the Zen Vision M has three times the quality rating of the IPod Video.
*They look better
*Sound heaps better
And the one major thing that I noticed after compairing both the Zen Vision M and an G5 IPod, is the loading time and song loading time. The creative device is almost instant each button press, I can selct a song and then travel through the albums to any other song and select it, and the song loads instantly.

The IPod is horrible, sometimes the tracks can take anywhere up to3-4 seconds to load (May not seem like much, but it makes a difference)

The only advantages I see with owning an IPod is:
A)They are smaller (Crappier hard drives I think-Well, slower anyways)
B)The earphones are probably the most comfortable ones I have ever worn)

Apart from that, I always strongly recommend to all people that ask me to go with the Creative alternative (And being the IT guy, I get asked a hell of a lot)

Yeah I'd get one for my compatibility problem since I am forced to use iTunes and nothing else. I have Media Center set up totally for my music but have to use iTunes to get songs on there which is annoying. I'd only want a standard one though that stores songs, since I have no use for the video or picture features. Would they go for about $100 USD same as a standard iPod? Plus I want something that looks shiny and leet too. Like Bozos, I want people to scream "My eyes! So bright!" when they see it.

Self-combusting batteries? Like a self-destruct system in case it's stolen? I want one!
