Good news indeed.
In addition to Link's post. Not everything needs medical attention, but when things like you described happen, then an ounce of prevention is always worth more than a pound of cure. Then again, most of us are spoiled Americans that gave you the run to doctor answer!

LOL, agreed Felix. For me, if it's the hands, that's important. Lots of little bones in your hands, we use our hands obviously often, so I'd be running to the doctor if I messed up a finger on my hand that swelled up. I've been there before too re a thumb injury, and it was just a sprain with a big ol' bruise, but dang did it appear mangled LOL. The doctors did though wrap it up for me so I couldn't move it around, which helped it heal quicker, so I'm glad I went.
