Yes, that was a good part, Ilander. I can picture it now...

Be aware that A Modest Proposal (good as it is) is under 30 pages long. It's an essay/pamphlet, not really a book. The best way to get a hold of it is to look for a selection of Swift's short works. You may also find it in old high-school/college readers or in collections of satire.

Ok, just checked the Chapters website, and they've got a couple choices. It should also be included in some form in the classics/literature section of your reputable local bookstore or library.

I also voted for Mark Twain, though it has been years sicne I have read any of his books...perhaps instead of buying this new stuff I should go and buy some older ones....but Xen...I knew there was a reason I liked you, I spent my teen years readin alot of older books, and fouind they were far better than the newer ones, which tend to have to much vulgarity in them I mean mostly the curse words and the details of what took place

Mark Twain. I remember reading Conneticut Yankee. It was quite funny. I loved how he used the eclipde to make the people believe that he was a powerful magician. LOL! His arrival in that era was also quite funny. (wants to read that book again)
