My vote goes to Galactus

Btw, and this could be wrong, you may be thinking of one of the "What IF" series called "What if the Avengers had become the pawns of Korvac?" IIRC, everyone dies in that one

Hmm i think that the villian could be Onslaught?? I checked out some issues that had some wicked art.. and he looked awesome... The marvel universe was basically destroyed.. Thats when alot of the titles, except for x-men really, all restarted at issue #1 (they restarted twice).

Sorry, Mouse, but Ronn Bmann is correct (for the most part).

Marvel did a HUGE "crossover mini-series" in 1983-1984 called The Secret Wars. This series introduced....

THE BEYONDER!

He was a cosmic being from another universe who had discovered Earth and was fascinated by this thing its inhabitants felt called Desire. To study this emotion more closely, he created a planet {called BattleWorld}. He then assembled all the best heroes and villains together to "battle it out".

However...it was actually Dr. Doom who killed all the heroes. He wasn't content to battle for the prize offered by the Beyonder....instead he decided he wanted the Beyonder's full power for himself. Once he stole the Beyonder's power, he used it to kill all the heroes with a massive energy bolt.

So....HOW did all the heroe's come back to the life.......

Sorry true believer, but the story is too complicated to go into here.

However, this series heralded major events in many of the characters involved.

Spiderman got a new, black costume that turned out to be a symbiote creature which would later merge with an Olympic-class weightlifter and become VENOM.

Molecule Man had his power increased exponentially by Dr. Doom who used the Beyonder's power to remove a mental block M.M. had that prevented him from affecting living molecules. After Secret Wars, he was able to affect ALL molecules.

Ben Grimm decided to leave the Fantastic Four and stay on BattleWorld, because he was able to "transform" at will from The Thing to human form while there. This created an opening that was filled by She-Hulk.

All in All, it was one of the BEST efforts ever created by Marvel.

As Stan the Man would say....EXCELSIOR!

Thats good for you two..

I stick to Onslaught being whom Gammit meant...
Onslaught was a combined entity comprising Magneto's anger and Xaviers suppressed emotions.

He killed pretty much everyone except for some of the x-men and Spiderman for two years until Franklin Richards brought them back..

In which titles or series????

I collected ALL the X-Men titles until the mid-90's and I have the entire Onslaught storyline there. I don't remember him EVER killing off all the heroes.
(but it HAS been a long time).

And the only time I remember Franklin Richards being prominently featured was in the "re-introduction" series of comics Marvel started in the early 90's where they re-wrote the origins of several of the more popular groups and heroes for a new generation of readers.

The Fantastic Four was one of these "re-vamped" titles and that's the only time I remember Franklin having more than just a brief appearance in anything.

Apocolypse, esp. in the Age of Apocolypse mini serieses. Evil plus immortality. Always a dasterdly combo.
