What do you like for in a friend?

I like friends who natter to me a lot

Sorry, but that's just my preference - I like 'em if they're great story tellers and rational person that analyses life and can talk about it freely without being locked up inside.

It's that kind of 'confidence' that I'd admire and over the years, I've become a good listener to many heartbreaking tales and stuff that people would've never trusted me with before.

I don't talk a lot - hell I type a lot!!, but I don't talk so often. I'd rather have the natty friends. It's just so me to be the good listener.

And it's always a sense of pleasure being thanked, and told that you took the time to handle their problems in life.

Share and share alike. My friendship is all about that

the way i see it, a person who youve known for awhile, have a lot in common with, and lots of that stuff, is a friend. but when they start telling you things about their other friends, personal things, and jesting at you but only with a half-kidding tone in their voice, this is when they become what i call 'friends'. you cant trust them with your secrets because theyll likely tell their other friends, like they told you the secrets of other. and the half-joking stuff, thats obvious. nobody likes to be made fun of, ever. a true friend is one who you can trust with your secrets, who you can share your feelings with, without worrying about him blabbing them behind your back. that feeling of non-betrayal is comforting to me.

I definitely don't talk much in real life, and I'm kind of an outsider. I do have friends though. Everyone in next year's senior class (Which includes me), has become a friend of mine. The eight of us, (Yes there's only eight of us in Guantonomo Bay Cuba.) have been together for a long time. We've stuck together through just about everything. We've had our differences, but we always manage to work things out. Next year we'll be graduating, and all of us plan to keep in touch. To me people like this are the best of friends!

A heart - caring and understanding
A brain - please dont be a idoit
A intestine - Large and small preferably
Lungs - a pair
A spleen - no idea why

Trust-someone who will talk to you about what's going on, and ask for your help if it is needed

Honesty-doesn't hides tuff from you, doesn't talk behind your back

Loyalty-will stick with you even if all others are against you

Intelligence-doesn't have to be a genius, but doesn't act stupid when they are better than that

Strength-not phsically, emotionally. will be able to stand up for themselves and others, won't give up easily

Accepting-will like you for who you are and not push you to be someone else, or to go with the crowd
