It's still too early to be making decisions, we'll have to wait for more information about the man in question.

Agreed, but why the hell did he run away ? Especially during these days where police officers might be a little itchy around the triggerfinger, i can't say it was a really smart move from the guy. If he would have just stopped and put his hands in the air he would be alive as we speak. What a way to die.

What I've read said that he was in the country trying to help pay for his father's cancer treatment, and his temprorary visa was likely expired, hence he was most likely trying not to get deported for being in the country illegally.

Well if someone shouts, "stop, armed police," running isn't a good idea. Doing so after the recent events just compounds the stupidity. Although unfortunate I think that by acting as he did he brought it on himself.

Fleeing is not a capital offense but shooting someone who is prone multiple times in the head is.

Unless they're an annoying liberal, then you deserve a medal for having the chutzpah to shoot them in the head more than once. They're so brain dead, it takes multiple shots to get the thinking part.

Seriously, though, the guy appeared to be a threat, and ignored orders to stop, fleeing toward a crowd and trains. Had he had a bomb, it could have been devastating. And, in light of recent events, the threat was seen to be real and imminent. There is a difficult balance between letting a threat continue and preserving the liberty of individuals. In this case, I think the police made a decision that was reasonable.

As for Felix pulling his punches, he was kinder than he should have been. The last time I pulled my punch was in 8th Grade when Jason F. told me to punch him first, and I didn't. He then put my tooth through my lip. Lesson learned, and I'll never fail to throw the 1st punch again.

But, now we can see exactly how quickly a thread can get kicked over to the CE forum -- where it belonged to begin with.

They followed this guy for a while beforehand, they even let him on a bus for a 15 minute ride to the subway station. Why would the police allow a suspected suicide bomber on a bus? It doesn't add up to a reasonable conclusion.

Hmmmm.... maybe they were waiting for just the right moment to shoot him in the head so they could piss off liberals like yourself?

No, that doesn't make sense either. Your conspiracy theory? Erm... conclusion???
