When I stab people it's usually after watching Troy. Playing Diablo 2 does cause me to smite people with dustbin lids, though.

First of all, you're using the wrong spell. Magic Missile will be just as effective at blasting most 0-level mugs out of existence and it never misses. Plus, you won't burn down the store when you cast it.
