Why does messenger suck so much?

Concerning Messenger, Anybody figured out how to sent a message to someone not on your friend list?

Dead easy.

when you've got the side window open (the one with all your contacts in)

Actions, send an instant msg, then you select the other tab, and type in the persons email addy..

easy huh.

I rarely use MSN... only to get last minute help for homework or something. It always quits after about 10 minutes of me being on it.
