I dunno if yall've heard of it, but my all time favorite candy (store bought) is a nice Charleston Chew. (roughly 1 foot long piece of vanilla, hard, taffy, coated in a thin shell of milkchocolate.) Favorite candy (homemade) that would have to be my grammy's recipe for hard chocolate taffy.

For those of you who don't know the difference. Hard taffy is made without the use of a taffy pulling machine. A taffy pulling machine as you have probably guessed is used in making softer chewier taffy.

Hard taffy example (sugar daddies)
Soft taffy example (laffy taffy)

I must have eaten a hundred pounds of Grape Laffy Taffy in my youth LOL.
That stuff and Charm's lollipops, Cherry or Sweet & Sour
I never could eat Charleston Chews LOL way too much chewing involved to enjoy them.

Nestle's treasures with the caramel filling! Sometimes get a little graphic while eating those things, lol! (Don't ask what I mean by that.)
