Ah, unbelievable. You have no idea what it's like to listen to 'Original Pranksta" at top volume on HUGE speakers. Well, I'm deaf, but it was worth it.

The Offsring used to be quite good around the "Smash" album era but now they suck. The last two albums have sucked bigtime. Tut, Tut the bastards have sold out. Safe to say I'm not a fan anymore. Oh BTW I play my music VERY loud.

You dare condem the Offspring in my presense?? *slap*

When i'm driving with friends the music is fricking LOUD. My friend Emily blew a speaker out in her mustang a few days ago lol. At home i play it loud enough so that i cant hear anything else, but soft enough so that it doesnt overtake the blaring TV

Sorry LadyBlue but I don't think there as good as they used to be. I did used to like them though but I'm not a fan any more. Just out of curiosity whats everybodies favorite Offsring song? Mine is "All I want" that's short but sweet.

You're full of $hit is what you are. If you were permanently affected by loud music you certainly wouldn't be joking abut it.

When I was 23 or so, the ringing in my ears I would hear after playing gigs in a loud band, never went away again. Silence is something I have only heard twice, for only a few seconds each time, in the last seven years.

Tinnitus sufferers can go insane from the constant noise from too much loud music. The doctor I initially saw, spoke of a man who came in with welts all over his head, from hitting his own head with a hammer trying to stop the incessant noise.

Thankfully over the years the volume has decreased, tolerance and acceptance of it has increased, and I have had two times where for but a few moments each time, I've heard nothing but precious still silence.

I mix records and professionally sing, so my hearing skill - the intepretation of soundwaves - keeps getting better. However with the tinnitus there is a pain threshold now (loud music physically hurts) so I wear earplugs to any show or action movie or dance club.

Be thankful you have avoided permanent damage from blasting your ears with excessive volume. Had I known what would happen to me I would have taken more care with this wonderful sense that even now puts food on my table.

Protect your ears.
