dude, to say someone is not afraid of dying is just plain BS. everyone is afraid of dying, there is no exception. it is natural

however, some are more willing to die. why? they are convinced to their believes. faith is an incredible thing. after all, if you'd enter heaven and being fed honey by 70 something virgins, who'd be freaking afraid to die? IF you are convinced enough.

yeah, we can somehow brainwash away that part of the belief. don't you think our telemarketing managers have enough skills to do that?

btw, Hugh, long time no see. how is Australia beach?

There is never NO exception. I am part of the exception, I have no fear of dying whatsoever. HOW I die I may have a fear of but not death itself and there will always be others who think the same thing. 250 you shouldnt state your opinion as the law so often. There is always an exception to the rule.

250, when you say that are you sure you don't just mean yourself. I have a big problem with saying that "everyone thinks like me" because with all the people I have met it patently isn't true. And I haven't even met all that many. I agree with Azure - death is different for different people. A fortnight ago my Great grandmother died. It was no big deal for any of us in the family - we were sad to see her go but she was 100 years old!!! She was in an awful state by the end, could barely remember who we were let alone hold a conversation.

That is not entirely what I mean though. Everyone views things differently - there is nothing universal about eh human mind, like Azure was saying. There is always an exception. And what about the people who flew the planes? They can't have been all that worried about death, theres or other peoples.

I am not being big and macho - I just think that some people think differently and we shouldn't ignore that.

Sorry 250, you are right. I missed the point of your post entirely.

But if you beleive that how come you were saying earlier that there were no exceptions?
