Well, I'm not focusing on him to insult, but rather to extract more opinion from him, because I sincerely want to hear it and want to see it fleshed out.

And, I'm sure you get the same about me. Actually, I'm sure you hear any number of things about me. One reason is sometimes I try to be obscure, or just an ass. While Donut may ever be the King of Subtitle, sometimes I just like to use a post to punch someone in the nose and get their eyes watering a bit -- clears the sinuses, you know.

But, the majority of the time, it is lack of time that may make my responses truncated. And, I'm sure this is true of others, including the esteemed Ruler of Pastry.

I'm afraid that punch on the nose flew right over my head!

Well, since you're only known to me from online, I had no idea how tall you are. Send me height information so I can target your nose better in the future.

What responsibilities and duties to give a teen who may or may not have become mature yet is a difficult question.
IIRC in Germany (and possibly here in Austria too since laws are very similar) juvenile offenders (and that does not limit to 18y, sometimes 23y olds are included) are evaluated by a psychologist in the course of the trial, and this evaluation (did he/she KNOW what he/she was doing, what the consequences would be, the ethical issues, etc.) has great impact on whether the defendant gets a normal sentence or is judged as a teen (and thus gets juvenile punishment). Of course this does not extend to capital punishment in Germany and Austria, but I think it would be a good idea for the US to take this into account when considering death penalty for a teen.
