wasn't there a game created with the same description called "Fallout Tactics" ?

say, what's the deal with beginning of system shock 2?
i make it part way through the beginning area and then these zombies just over run me. is there a trick to this?

I wish some game company did a CRPG based on the PnP Shadowrun. That game rocked.

Yes, there's a game called Fallout Tactics.

What do you mean overrun? Are you running around yourself? In that you'll attract attention. Take it easy and take the enemies out one by one.

Edit: The Hybrids(Zombies) are slow hitters, so just dodge the blows by stepping back. Run up to one, hit him and when he swings, step back then close in on him again to hit him again. It's worse if you're surrounded so make sure that doesn't happen.

I'm a big fan of Shadowrun, it's the best setting ever.

Fallout: Tactics is based in the fallout world, it is real time(my preference) or turn based. Fallout: Tactics should not be mistaken for an RPG though, it does have RPG elements but personally I would not classify it as RPG as many of the Fallout fans complained that this game sucked because it was lacking in the RPG department and the game would have sold alot more if it were not for those fans who were expecting Fallout 3. Fallout: Tactics truly is a great game and one that stands on its own.

system shock 2: i finally got the hang of it. after some trial and error, i managed to find a pistol and some bullets. after that, i learned where the security cameras were and destroyed them on sight. i made it all way upto deck 3, but decided to restart since i wasn't happy with the way i developed my character. since cyber modules are a premium i thought that i'd be best to start over now that i have an idea of how things will go and my play style.

this is off-topic since we're discussion sci-fi rpgs but what ever happened to that game called Lionheart? it was supposed to employ the same rule system as fallout. i saw reviews of it on gamespot but never saw on any shelves at local software stores.

Lionheart is one of the worst games ever. It's Fallout perks and traits, Diablo action on steroids and the control of a drunken mule experiencing a Vulcan Pon'Farr. Bad game. My brain required much blood after playing it, much blood.

That is Bozos point of view, I have heard others who told a different story. My Best advice look for it in the bargin bin, if I find it there I will probably buy it myself.

Lionheart was not a good game but its not one of the worst ever. In no way science fiction really in my opinion.
The game steamworks arcanum was vaguely science fiction.

I cant believe no one has listed KOTOR. Star wars is about as science fiction as it gets.

Probably the best science fiction roleplaying crpg ever made.
