Our mom really threw out the game, could you please tell us what happens after you beat the robot at the underwater reactor?

Why'd she throw out the game? The demon gate and ancients? Just about every RPG has some sort of demons. Gonna be kind of hard to find one she'll let you play if there's some unwritten rule like "no demons or ancients".

She's over the top with these things. She doesn't like summoning I guess.

Thats a shame, FF7 is one of the best RPG's ever. very long and enjoyable with all the disks.
I'm playing it at the mo myself, only at Coral Prison, (I think) under the golden saucer. So a long way to go for me.

Damn, sorry to hear that Keal.
But is there any way of getting the game without your mum knowing?

Heh, maybe its not the best idea to encourage them to go against their parent's wishes, Hivetyrant. Being a "family-oriented forum," we should probably just let things be, and allow their mother to do as she sees best for her children. (Or succumb to mucho begging. ) On a different note, whenever you get a chance to finish the game, without going against your mother's wishes, of course, I suggest you do, as it really is a spectacular gem! If she doesn't like summoning, you probably shouldn't try the later FF games. Possibly 9 if you don't want 16 bit graphics, since I haven't used summons much at all (maybe 3 times, mostly to see what they looked like), and I'm fine and very close to the end of the game. It's probably cheap right now, being fairly old. FF8 and 10 both have a LOT of summons used. Or if you don't mind 16 bit graphics, in FFOrigins, neither game has summoning. #2 has a very good "level-up" system. Or Crono Trigger is a very good non-FF rpg if you get FFChronicles, although most of the main plot revolves around the summoning of an evil creature. It's also got plenty of sidequests near the end. All of those should be fairly cheap by now.

Of the FF games, though, 7 is my favorite. 9 would be my second favorite.

Or FF8 where summoning really is a hassle later in the game so you just keep on junctioning magic to your chars.

I know about ff8, i'm going to start an rpg soon based on it.You don't really need to use summons in that in battle, you just need them to junction your abilities. It's one of the easier games i've played, but I think it has an all around good story, gameplay, and other stuff. Either way, my mom is pretty stubborn. Even if I swear I don't need summons she won't let me play. She might go for FF11, since it looks like a lotr type game. Just sword and shield if you want.
