I really liked the Warcraft Arthas cinematics - both the End of the Human Campaign and End of The Frozen Throne. And the Frozen Throne starting cinematic, about Illidan.
Planescape: Torment sure had a few key spots that were simply marvelous. The Fallout series and Planescape: Torment had this cool way of letting you really get pissed off at NPCs, with all the cool dialogue and atmosphere. My brother absolutely loved it when he went to a bariaur: "[Insert insult], I am going to kill you." Bariaur: "First I would like to ask why you would challenge me." "Cause I *feel* like it." ![]() [ 12-24-2003, 06:18 AM: Message edited by: uss ] |

It's too hard to pick one so here's my top 5:
1. The last level of Hitman:Codename 47. I had a handgun with a few bullets left and after the last level I felt like I could take on anything. Then I saw that i had to kill 10 clones of Codename 47(your character) all armed with machineguns. I just said to myself in disbelief "I am so f****d" and then died a horrible death. 2. The death of Sniper Wolf in Metal Gear Solid. It was just like a movie only most movies aren't as good as this. 3. When Cloud kills Sephiroth at the end of Final Fantasy 7. The way Cloud's Limit Break filled just by looking at Sephiroth and then he lets rip with Omnislash was the perfect way to finish him off. 4. The first time I blew a zombie's head off in Resident Evil. Ahh memories. ![]() 5. The intro movie to Final Fantasy 8. Just beautiful.

2. The first wall run -- jump combo required in Prince of Persia -- HOLY CRAP! 3. I did it all for the Wookie. / The Wookie? / The Wookie. 4. First Big Battle at the gates in IWD2. 5. Defeating the elemental monster in Watcher's Keep. 6. My first stumble onto the Shadow Dragon -- *pause* Oh Crap! I'm what level? A dragon? Okay, here goes... *unpause* 7. First time playing the city level of WaveRace64. 8. Anytime I beat Jago on KIGold, especially with a killer combo. 9. Xianhua vs. Mitsuguri or Voldo. Oh, and discovering how cool the story version of the game is -- especially the first time I had to take on multiple opponents in a row. 10. First time I hit the beach in MOH:F. 11. Finishing that damned run-and-gun take-out-tanks mission in Ghost Recon. 12. The beach mansion level in Perfect Dark. 13. First fight in an asteroid field against Jalthi fighters in Wing Commander. |

There's been many, I'd have to think hard to remember.
Probably listening to Jan's stories and comebacks in BG2, or finishing Deus Ex rates up there. Finishing just about every mission in Rainbow 6. ![]() Beating System Shock, Doom and Doom 2. The modern shooters (with the possible exception of Halo) just don't have the same freshness to them.

So many wonderful memories from the many moons spent living more than one life time in rpg experiences! 1. Feeling Bard's Tale III open up for me after completing all of the preliminary pre-requisites for Chronomancy and Spell Binding Brilhasti Ap Tarj into the party. Writing down every inch of dialog in the tragic Lucencia dimension and all of those long battles in Malefia! 2. The spine-tingling joy as the answers to each riddle hit my consciousness within the dungeon of the Codex of Ultimate Wisdom in Ultima IV: Quest of the Avatar. That game was pure magic to complete. Infinity!!! 3. Completing Ultima VII without encountering any of the dire gamestoppers. I thus feel for all who have come so far in this game, as its epic quality in storytelling needs to be experienced to be believed. (I managed to get Serpent's Isle going on my brother's old Pentium 120 just last wek, so I shall be continuing my chronological voyage very soon!) 4. Watching the fireworks as a primary school kid and jumping for joy with a friend when we defeated Tyranthraxus in Curse of the Azure Bonds. 5. Playing Ultima Underworld during uni with three friends all at once in a friendly competition to get as far as we could in a night. 6. Sighing with dumbstruck awe at the feeling of accomplishment at the end of Planescape. That game is such a pinnacle of roleplaying digital art fusion! Yikes..lots more to mention! ![]()

Hi Megabot and Aelia Jusa,
I was offline for some weeks, so my answer to your posts is a little bit late ( IMO better late than never ). Megabot: Unfortunatly I can't remember details of the game but I found the carpet. Aelia Jusa: Days later a friend gave me a hint, how one can start the final film without ever finishing the game. So I installed it again, started the film and so my disappointment was a little bit reduced . Greetings |
